I would like bring to the notice of the public, how the Petrol Pump Dealers cheat the customers who have ICICI Bank-HPCL Credit Card & Club HP HPCL Smart1 Card.
On 1st October, 2004, I did PUC Checking of my car (No: MH 02 LA 7278) at HPCL's M/s.Cadell Auto Service, Veer Savarkar Marg, Shivaji Park, Mumbai-400028.(Ref: Cash Memo No: 1517). As per one of the feature of HPCL-ICICI Bank Credit Card, I was eligible to get a 15% on PUC Checkup. But the dealer refused to give me the same, saying that the said offer was for a limited period & refused to give me a discount for the same & charged Rs.50/- instead of Rs.42.50. I also bought a Petrol worth Rs.750/-.(Ref: Cash Memo No: 26634). So Total of Rs.800/- (instead of Rs.792.50) is being charged to my ICICI Bank-HPCL Credit Card. (Ref: Approval Code: 563883).
I also used to my Club HP HPCL Smart1 card for the above transactions. As per the agreement with HPCL, Smart1 (just like BPCL's PetroCard) cardholder is entitled for a Discount of 15% when he checks up PUC at Club HP outlet. But that discount was also being refused by M/s.Cadell Auto Service by saying that such discount does not exits.
So I immediately wrote ICICI Bank, to know whether such discount is available or not. They informed that the said offer stll exits. In case of Smart1 Card, I referred to the Users' Manual which clearly states that the Smart1 Cardholder is always eligible to get 15% Discount on on PUC Check up. I have written a complaint to Merchant Establishment (i.e.M/s.Cadell Auto), but failed to get any response.
I would like to know to whom I should approach in such case? The question here is not of mere 7 bucks or 15 bucks. But why should I get cheated from such Merchant Establishment. They must be cheating all the customers of ICICI Bank-HPCL Credit Card & Club HP Smart1 cardholders.
