    Angry HSBC Bank Credit Card: Undue Charges (insurence & Late payment)



    Dear Consumer Court,

    I have aa HSBC Credit Card **** **** **** 6440, for which I regularly kept paying whatever I was using. I got a anonymous call from TATA AIG Insurence to take an insurence through my HSBC Credit card. Even if I told no they keep on pursuing me and asked for my telephone confirmation for the same.
    I keep on saying No but the policy was given to me and they started deducting premium from my credit card. I came to know about the same when I saw the premium has been deducted from my creit card account. I immediately requested to stop this payment and not to pay any future payment to TATA AIG from my credit card account. But, the bank kep on deducting the premium for next two month in spite of my request to cancel my card. I stopped using the credit card after paying all my legitimate dues (the dues for which I made purchases) of Rs. 11000/-.

    I refused to pay any premium amount paid to Insurence Company and any late payment charges levied on my credit card account.

    I requested multiple times for cancelling my credit card but the bank has kept sending me the monthly credit card statement each month levying late payment charges.

    Bank customer care executive told me they will keep on adding the amount each month unless i won't pay my dues and also they will not cancel my credit card.

    I have paid all my legitimate dues and not ready to pay any illegitimate dues levied by HSBC bank.

    Please help me in this case. Now, please let me know what remedy may I get from consumer court.

    Default Simiilar harassment I am facing! HSBC TATA AIG dispute

    Hello Pankaj,

    I am going through a similiar harassment case from HSBC. I was offered a TATA AIG Policy, only difference is I agreed for it, but they charged me 6 premium amounts in a span of 30days. I kept calling the bank, met several executives, got the Policy cancelled from TATA AIG, paid all my legitimate dues and I continue to be billed for the Premium amounts. They reversed the Principal amount of 2 Premuims after two months and rest they got refund from Tata AIG, my policy was also cancelled. But they continue to charge to my account Financial charges and Interest and Late fees which were not reversed and asked me to pay that amount arrived due an error on their behalf of charging 6 premiums together erroneously.I wrote to the Nodal Officer but every time a new Customer Care Executive writes back giving a different version of the case and asking me to make the payments.

    I am looking at writing to RBI Ombudsman, we can together fight our case.

    for insurance disputes you have to write to IRDA moreover first you corresponde with the bank in writing and keep a proper record and also give a notice on your own to the bank that you wish to take legal action, this notice be in writing with the proof of sending that is registered post/UPC
