    Default HDFC bank harassment

    Hi,
    I joined this forum so that I can take out my frustration. I dont know
    if this is the right place.

    From the past 8 months I have been getting calls from HDFC Bank and
    asking me to pay back a loan amount. I have never taken any loan from
    any bank in my entire life. They insist that I am someone named Akshay
    and even threatens to come to my place if I dont repay the loan. I
    spoke with them several times and even with their managers convincing
    them I am not Akshay but to no avail. The calls are not frequent but
    it never stops. Sometimes even when I am on roaming I get their calls.

    I had an HDFC account when I was working in Pune so 5 months back I
    sent an email explaining the whole thing and I even gave them my HDFC
    account No. I got an email saying this will stop. Yes! it did stop for
    2 months or so and again I started getting calls. When I shouted at
    the guy, he hung up the phone and then called up again and said "YOU
    BASTARD" and hung up the phone. Spoke with several people but to no
    avail. thought of filing a complain at the police but I dont trust the
    police to be honest.

    Today again, i got a call and the person was my giggling at my
    frustration. I called up the bank people and filed a complain again. I
    dont know if ever it is going to stop.

    I hope this ends someday. I am the MD of an NGO
    and it is such a waste of time and energy.

    HDFC Bank sucks! HDFC Bank harasses people! Any help from anyone is
    appreciated.

    Since you have never taken any loan from HDFC, no body can ask you for
    repayment.
    Next time whenever you get a phone call, ask caller to disclose his identity
    and note down the identity of the caller viz his name,designation,office
    address,phone no including mob no. ,name of his senior to whom he is reportable
    etc .Date and time of call should be specifically noted/recorded.Be a good
    listener and take a note of his message or demand,Give him sufficient time to
    explain as to what he asks for .You should clearly explain your status withot
    losing temper.In case he misbehaves,do not hesitate to report the matter IN
    WRITING to MD/CEO of HDFC Bank.
    Further you are MD of a NGO and take it as a challenge to tackle such type of
    social animals/anti social elements.

    Dear Sir,

    Keep a note of the Caller Name, Phone Number from where you got the call, time
    of the call, duration of the call, and then send / post the details on the HDFC
    Bank's Website and also file a Police Complaint.

    Send a Complaint to Banking Ombudsman also and inform the Bank that you will
    inform the incident to Press / Media also.

    Dear Sir,

    Good cell phones have voice recorders which record your conversation alongwith
    numbers in them.

    Use this information to file a complaint in court and I am sure it shall be
    taken care of.

    you should logged a FIR against HDFC and ask your and
    use some voice recording software in mobile as a proof
    otherwise your complaint will be closed as invalid and
    another thing is logged a case in consumer court for
    same and give reference of FIR in court then only your
    case will be strong.If you don't want logged a case
    directly in consumer court join some NGO who genially
    operate these problems and fight case in behalf of
    you.I am also fighting with HDFC in court but for some
    other matter.

    Send them a registered letter asking them to send you a final settlement figure
    with a copy to their divisional and regional manager.

    Hello everyone,

    Thank you for your suggestions, concern and help which is highly
    appreciated. Sorry for the delay in replying as I was very disturbed
    by the crackdown by chinese in my country Tibet.

    The problem is solved (at least i think so). I am posting this so that
    others having same problem can benefit.

    1. The customer service guys usually turn away by saying they will
    take care but this usually doesn't happen.
    2. The reason for the above is because whenever a call center gets a
    complain, they can either log the complain or not log it by giving
    workarounds to the customer. when they log a complain, they need to
    follow it which is extra work for them(they think) and if they are not
    able to resolve the problem, it hits their service level or quality
    which they don't want.
    3. Insist on logging the case and ask them to give you a case number
    or reference number for the complain. If they say they have logged the
    complain but doesn't give u a case number, most probably they are
    lying. A logged case must have a case number.
    4. Get the name of the representative you are talking to.

    In my case, a person from HDFC head office in Mumbai called up and he
    gave me his direct number. After his call, the managers from Bangalore
    offices started calling me asking about my problem. Finally, the
    everything is back to normal.

    There is a DO NOT CALL or DO NOT DISTURB registry maintained by all
    the banks. Just go to their websites and register your number. I hope
    this helps others having same problem.

    hamare yanha hdfc bank se, ek sardarjee (kamaljeet singh ) suzuki motorcycle no.DL 3TC SZ 830 se aaye..
    aur paison ki najayaz demand karne lage

    meine bataya ki final hisaab karne keliye ....bank se agreement ki copy hamare vakil sahaab ne mangi hai
    to kamaljeet singh mujhe gaaliyaan dene lag gaya bola aane ke 500 / rupaye to le kar hi jaungaa, tabhi kisi manish ka phone, 43547636 No. se aaya aur vobhi mujhe vakil ko aur court ko maa-bahino ki galiyaan dene laga usne bhi apne aap ko hdfc kakaramchaari bataya kamlajeet dobara aane ki dhamki de kar gaya hai.....

    aur manish bhi phone per bara-ber dhamkiyan de raha hai....

    kripaya jaanch karein

    Default We need to do something about those who take themselves too big to be touched.

    A world wide membership drive should be started to punish those who humiliate and push around those who they think are weak. They are people, corporate bodies and nations....

    We can impose all possible sanctions...including withdrawing membership from their organizations and urging and educating all people of the world to do so....... it would be like economic sanctions...

    If they are too obstinate, unjust, if they do not heed the truth, then we can convincingly come together to punish such an evil.....
