    Angry Harassment by Collection Agents and banks

    Dear Sir,

    I have three loans which I had taken for my father's treatment. Due to severe finalcial crunch, I have not been able to pay the EMIs on time as my efforts are to procide for my father's cancer treatment.

    Now the banks (ICICI, Indiabulls, HSBC, Prime Financials) and collection agencies are sending their people to my home at odd times and this is creating further disturbances at home and my father's health is being affected.

    Please advice what to do !!!

    Dear Sir,

    You can send your requests to the concerned companies and bank's to provide you some leniency and time for the repayment, on humanity grounds.

    Default HSBC Credit Card Recovery Agency

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    I was having a Credit Card with HSBC ending with 3645 all the payments on time and requested them to close the credit card as i was leaving my company and joining another firm. Now after 5 years they come up with a statement of 40,000 + and threat me to pay for the same they have also started calling my residence and abuse my old parents.

    Could you please advise what can i do about this as its affecting my parents health and they are damn worried about me.

    Default bank harrassment

    to whom it may concern:
    I am inquiring if there is such a law or requirement that stops a bank from calling every half hour every day including sundays reguarding a current loan you may have through them. We have a current loan through citimortgage which was not our original company. We had a different company in which was bought through this company. This company is terrible. they call us every hour on the hour including sundays weather we are late or not. we do have a fifteen day grace period in which we may pay in that time. We had arrangements with the other company to pay in that fifteen day grace period since I am paid only twice a month. We have tried to talk with them but it doesnt matter, they still call. It is very annoying and they have even called us at work. the upsetting part is we are not even late yet. Is there something we can do?

    Default Kotak Mahindra credit card collection agent nuisance

    I hold kotak Mahindra Bank Visa Corporate credit card issued to me by Kotak Mahindra Bank in January 2009. My billing cycle ends 20th of every month and bill is generated on 20th of the month with due date for payment on 7-8 of the following month. I am a regular in my payments to the bank within the due date and have never defaulted any minimum payments due till date. Despite my record for over a year with good credit history I get calls from the collection agency of the bank from numbers +91 11 4560731,+91 11 45650747,+91 11 4560720, +91 11 45650714 etc several times of the day starting 1st of every month with a soft reminder to pay the bill within the due date then it goes on everyday with hard reminders and nuisances from various collection agents thought the day to my mobile number though I am registered for DO NOT DISTURBE Service in my Airtel number since September 2007. The nuisances and harassments doesn’t stop even on Sundays and public holidays and the frequency of calls are every half an hour nearer to payment due date. I have tried to explain to several collection agents that these payments details are personal to me and I cannot share these details over phone calls since I do not know who is calling me and for what reasons is this calls coming to me and request them to send me official letter from the bank enquiring about my payments details so that I can reply to the bank on the cheque numbers and when the payments are made, still the process does not stop and I get repeated calls in my office numbers and residence numbers which goes up to 21.00 hrs at night and start every morning at 9.30 Am . Is there a way I can get rid of this nuisances and harassments ? Can I report this matter to the bank top authorities If you can share the email addresses of the bank officials where I can escalate this complaint I shall be obliged
    Secondly can I report this matter to RBI can you share with me the contact details of RBI department , address and email address where I can lodge this nuisance complaint.
    Also let me know details of any other agencies where I can make a complaint on the said matter

    Default Use of Profanity and mental harassment from Cholamandalam DBS, Bangalore

    Hi,
    I had availed 6.5 lakhs loan 3 years ago from Cholamandalam DBS, Ulsoor Branch and over the last 1 year I have defaulted paying the bank the EMI.
    However one of the bank Manager claims to be paying on my behalf and time and again I am asked to deposit the sum into his Savings Account which is done by me in instalments.
    Over the last 3 months I am unable to deposit the amount to the said person's personal account. One more employee/agent turns up home at odd hours and threatens my aged parents and myself of dire consequences. He often uses profane language and speaks rudely to one and all. Even though i sense something mushy, I am unable to come to any conclusion. I am not in a position to clear the loan either.
    I wish to approach the bank and settle this amicably.
    Kindly suggest.

    Default Problem with AXIS bank credit card collection agency.

    Hello,

    I want to come directly t the point. I used to have AXIS bank credit card with 5757 ending number in 2008. From first month onwards i didnt receive any bills. In the second month I asked them to verify my address and changed it to my exact address but still no change.I requested it to sent to my mail id but they didnt.

    The credit card has a limit of 21,000 and I used it in medical emergency in the second month.In the month of March i paid around 1500rs as installment. And in last month April 2010, I got a call from some person named Satyanarayana 9246612740,stating that he is from PF office and wants to know my address and I mentioned it. Later on he called again and said that I have to pay my credit card balance altogether 45k and made a settlement for 30k. I asked him to send his executive to my office in lunch break. He sent a executive without any id and after speaking to the AXIS bank personnel i paid 10k. and asked him to wait till the may end. But they are making continuous calls to my parents and father in law numbers. Because of their harassment and bad language on the phone my father in law left the place and went to his native place.

    I have already in communication and requested them several times via sms and calls not to contact anyone but me as I'm the persona who has to pay the credit. But they are threatening to come to my office and speak to my HR or to my parents and also they want to forward this to CBIL.

    I'm trying to repay the remaining 20k with in a week.All I need is little time.

    Please suggest me what to do.

    Default Harassment by HSBC collection agents

    Sir / Madam,
    My name is Sikha Dasgupta, aged 59 years, Widow, staying in Mumbai. My husband was holding a credit card, number ending with 4102. He passed away unexpectedly in July 2008 and as he was the only earning member of the family, I was unable to clear the payment at that time. It was getting difficult to handle everything y myself and hence some things got difficult. However, whenever, I got a call regarding the payment due, I have cordially requested them to give me some time as I needed to arrange for the money as I had certain other priorities as well along with it. I also requested them if the settlement amount could be reduced so that it will be easier for me to pay back the amount. I never got any solution for the same at any point of time since then. The card has never been used since and the amount kept on increasing. I had certain other credit card dues which got cleared as the officials in those banks (ICICI, Citibank) were very considerate and helpful. The amount kept on increasing due to the accruing interest. I was not given any solution or any consideration from whomsoever I have spoken to.
    However, even after this, on 22/12/2010 two collection agents came to my place and started using foul language against me. I was alone at home that time and they didn’t even bother to understand that they are speaking to an aged lady. I have Diabetes and High Blood Pressure. One of them kept on abusing and when I asked him not to shout as I was not keeping well, he replied saying that even if I die in front of them, it would not matter and he will do my cremation. Is this the way to behave with an elderly woman who is a widow and is not well? They then started threatening that they would spread it across the society that I am a defaulter and carry out socially unacceptable things. They even went on to knock on my neighbors’ doors to tell them that I have not cleared the dues. After much persuasion and pleading, I asked them to give me some time. They left after that but not before threatening me with dire consequences.
    I have heard a lot of complaints about HSBC credit cards and their services but never took them seriously. This was kind of a nightmare for me. If something happens to any customer, who will be responsible for that? Is HSBC going to take any responsibility? If they are not able to provide any solution or help, they should at least not harass people.
    I never denied repaying the amount but I am not even getting any support from them.
    Kindly help me and suggest what I could do.

    hi all
    i am writing to on behalf of my best friend where she had used hdfc credit card before her merriage on family medical expenses, she's the only one in his family who is earning and this year his brother had cleared his 12th examination and started working to support his family, in short family is not sound enough to support day to day needs thats why she is woking and supporting her family but now collection agency people are harassing her and her in laws, for this reason her marriied life is effecting. Now the worst part is collection agencies had approched her in office and also had talked to the branch manager and made ruckusss at his office.her immage and job is at stake ,and now collection agencies asked her to come at their hdfc nariana office, delhi and deposit lump sum cash. now if she pay to them then she dont even have money for his family which she is supporting. i request if any one can help, pl advise ASAP or call at91 9999000155
