    Default OM Kotak Mahindra Insurance-Wrong credit of cheque and suspension of policy

    Om Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance:
    I had a life endownment policy with OMKM. After due payments for 3 dues, OMKM suddenly suspended my policy saying I have not paid the 4th due, in spite of me sending the cheque. Later I proved my payment and they found that my cheque was wrongly credited to some other policy holder and hence the payment was not reflecting in my account.
    Since this was purely their mistake I wanted to surrender my policy and get the complete refund of my premia (Rs 10000 plus paid)
    But the policy was only 1.5 year old then, they refused for surrender and instead wanted to revive the policy.
    I'm afraid that such mistake may happen any time and if I could not prove my payment then I may need to lose all my premium. Hence I want to get the money back.
    Since this mistake is very unusual I want my surrender claim to be treated as unusual too and return my entire premia paid.
    This issue is pending for more than 4 years and even my latest claim to them was declined.

    I can submit the entire communications and proof of payments in this regard as and when needed.

    Dear Mr. Kannan,

    To sort out your complaint, you’ll have to send a complaint letter to the Head Office of the Co. Wait for the response for near 15 to 20 days. Keep a copy of that letter with you so that if the Company fails to give you any solution, you can forward your complaint to the Insurance Ombudsman. The Head Office address is:
