    Angry AVIVA Life Insurance

    Policy - NSG1253171
    Sum assured - Rs 120000
    I had taken
    AVIVA Life Insurance policy in 10/05/2006, and paid first premium of Rs 12000. After that i didnt paid other 2 premiums.
    I spoke to customer care and enquired further process on this policy, they said that i will be getting 11000+ after deduction of charges and the cheque will be sent to Jayanagar branch, bangalore.
    Few days later i called the customer care and asked them the status, they are telling that you will not get any money.

    Please help to refund my money.

    Angry complaint against aviva lifeinsurance company

    i have following policies with aviva company asv2274645 andscg2274646 on my wifes name( mansi bisht).
    due to extremely poor management and excessive charges and commission the fund value of both the policy is less than 60% of the capital amount that i have invested over a period of three yrs.
    it definitely showsthat the company is only interested in eating away the hard earned money of its customers in terms of commissions.
    in addition customers services at toll free no or at offices in tolstoy marg delhi is poor where customers are treated like aliens .
    in view of the above i have applied for surrender of both the policies .
    on enquiry about the surrender value of both the policies i was told surrender values which are muchl ess than the fund value on the day of surrender.
    eg i have been told that the surrender values of poliy no scg2274646 is approximate Rs 82303 however the fund value on the day of surrender of policy i.e. today was approx. Rs 91400.
    can i be made to understand where approx. Rs 9100 vanished?same is true for the other policy.
    please tell me a way out so that i get back atleast the principle amt that i have invested over 3 yrs ie Rs 120000(scg2274646 ) and 90000(asv2274645 ) the fund vaue of which is Rs 91400 and Rs 56300 however the surrende valu e told by the company is Rs 82303 and Rs 51200 respectively.

    Default Aviva life insurance !! Urgent- important

    Dear Concerned,

    I have bought an insurance policy policy no. AFL 2816092 AVIVA Freedom Life Plan on 20th November 2009, hoping to cover my needs with the company thats build on customer centricity.

    My annual premium amount was one lac. By the time i realized my next premium was due in Nov 2010, i was told that i had an option to pay my premium as 50K halfyearly, and for the same i had given a letter to the manager in Mumbai. (Amit Vasani, Mahalaxmi branch)

    And i gave him a 50K cheque for the same, after some time Mr. Vasani told me that the cheque was lost in transaction and he has paid the premium on his own, and asked me to deposit the same in his account later. And i deposited 50K in his account (Account details can be provided as and when required)

    Post that when the second premium was due (in April 2011), and again the same cheque issue happened, and the entire exercise was repeated.

    In the mean time i requested Mr. Vasani with a request letter to help me to check the fund value so that i can switch funds to tak advantage of the market, the fund value written on that is around 1 Lakh 76 thousand. And it is also written as 3rd premium due in Nov 2011. I dint switch funds at that time because we were expecting the market to fall more.

    While the next premium was about to be paid, i get a call from Girish Dhoot, (manager indore Branch, from where i bought the policy)(he has been very helpful) saying that my policy has lapsed, and that no other premium was paid apart from the first premium, which came as a shock to me. I got a confirmation on the same from your toll free number.

    After which i spoke to my friend Amit Vasani, and he still confirmed the policy was inforce and we had a concall with Girish Dhoot on the same.

    Mr. Vasani then said he will check at the back end, and later told us that while we change the premium paying option from yearly to halfyearly, there was another client ID which was generated and he will make sure that the 2 IDs will be linked up from the back end and the premium amount will start reflecting in the system.
    In the mean time i have been holding my 50K cheque to pay my next premium, but nothing happened.

    Then Mr. Vasani told that i need to sign a DGH and i will get my 1 lac as DD back because the client IDs but now I need to submit 2 lacs.

    He said he will pay on company’s behalf and the rest amount I need to pay. And when the company pays the DD back I can return the money so that the policy gets informed asap. The receipt is also available which I received from Aviva after the submission of cheques worth 2 Lacs.

    Later I have been following up with Rashmi More (Branch ops Mahalaxmi) who has been very helpful and the customer care number. (You can check the details of the calls made for this policy at your end)

    Later I got a call from Aviva for medicals to be done again, I thought finally after getting this done I will get my policy inforced again. But this was just the beginning of the pain.

    My cheque hit the account and money got debited. But his cheques got bounced.

    Till date I have not been able to figure out when I will get my DD from the company, I have complete details of the calls made to Mr.Vasani, and the text messages exchanged to get this issued. (trust me you will faint when you see that)

    Mr.Vasani has again confirmed that he has paid the balance amount but I am still getting messages from Aviva that y policy is lapsed.

    Request your support in helping me WHERE IS MY MONEY??? And in getting this policy done.

    Else I have to proceed legally into this.
