Sub: DEATH CLAIM SETTLEMENT.ENQUIRY REPORT.POLICY # 694913402 of Kethavarapu Chinna Satyanarayana,the deceased.
My father,the above policy holder died on 25/3/2011.
Death Claim settlement process has been completed on 25/05/2011 by the claimant Kethavarapu Chinna Lakshmi, my mother, by the career agent after a delay of nearly 45 days.My mother, the claimant, an illiterate has visited the LIC branch office Narsipatnam several times for settlement of the death claim,but to know avail.
We are given to understand that the concerned Administrative Officer Sri.Sharma CODE # 40467 and the career agent Sri.Ravada Simhalu CODE # 393696 are asking my mother for some bribe to handover the settlement cheque which has been made ready long back on 8/12/2011 and delaying it by saying that it may take another two years for delivering the cheque.
I,K.Satyanarayana S/O the deceased,am holder of four different LIC policies paying an annual premium of Rs.59,645.
Policy NO's: 674820588, 801933829, 801998431, 801998432.
If this is the kind of service being rendered to an illiterate claimant we do not have any other alternative but to seek justice from an appropriate platform in a consumer forum or a court of law.
My village, Pamulavaka is a stones through from Narsipatnam.If the settlement check is sent by post it will reach us the next day
We will wait for another seven days before proceeding further in the matter.
