Dear Sir,
On 10th Sep 2011, I purchased a policy from Reliance for Rs 50,000. At the time of illustrating the policy over cellphone Mr. Rahul Saxena and Safia from Reliance told the following benefits about the policy-
• The term of the policy is 7 years.
• On paying the annual premium of Rs 50,000 for 7 years, I will be getting assured return of Rs 110,730 on 4th and the 7th year and a sum of Rs 488,313 at the time of surrendering the policy after 7 years. Thus the total sum received after 7 years will be (Rs 110,730 + Rs 110,730 + Rs 488,313).
• 50% waived of on the second year premium.
• Cashless Medical claim facility for me and my family.
• An assured gift which was a 32’’ LCD from Sony Vivo (Gift Id : RIL9820459).
• Tax benefit under 80C, 80D and 1010D.


Based on the benefits illustrated above I purchased the policy and the reliance team assured me that all the documents (including the cashless medical cards and bond papers) and the assured gift will be delivered to me within 15-20 days from the purchase date.


It has been more than 3 months that I haven’t received any documents from Reliance in respect to my Policy. I have been calling several times in the day to reliance representatives and every time they ensure me that the documents along with the assured gift will be delivered to me within next 10-12 days. On my last interaction, Mr. Deepanshu (Sales manager - Reliance, as told to me) promised that the documents and the gift will be delivered by 10th December, 2011. Since the same were not delivered on the promised date, I again called the reliance representatives on their mobile numbers (9560974592, 8860566354), but both their numbers were coming to be switched off. I then called up on another number (9278650061- safia gave this number at the time of purchasing the policy) and came to know that Safia has left the company. Shweta who received my call spoke to me very rudely and didn’t gave any response to my queries. I then called the Customer care cell of Reliance from where I came to know that I have been cheated on the policy issued to me as the benefits mentioned above are not a part of this policy. Also, the customer care representative told me that there is no company policy of providing gift to the customers.


It is my humble request that the concerned authorities should look into this matter and kindly assist me. If the above benefits are not part of this policy then I am not interested to purchase this policy and the premium which is Rs 50,000 should be given back to me along with the interest that I have lost on the premium amount.
