Hi i bought the policy from an agent thru my friend's contact. I wanted the policy to be for premiun of 25000 per month however he made it for 25000 quarterly which is 1 lakh an year. i paid for money in last days of dec when the companies work on back date basis. the check was cleared on 30th dec. i got the first written confirmation from MAX by the end of january and as per their books free look period was for 15 days which as expired. i called customer care. they abruptly said contact your agent. he can help you. as he was known person he said i will escalate this matter to max and he kept in same impression for 2 months i contacted max again and they said it cannoot be changed so either i should pay 1 lakh an year or forget about 25000. later after 2 months that agent was fired by MAX. now if their agent mess up things who is responsible for that. and when the company has got to know about agent they fired him but who will clear the mess. for someone like me i cannot pay 1 lakh an year.. they dont even refund 25000. Please help .. for me to know what should be done.

Dear Sirs,

Faced with NO response from M/s Max New York Life Insurance and given that I am
based out of India, posted at High Commission of India in Islamabad, I am faced with
no option but to look up to the Consumer Court of India for redressal:

I signed up for Rs one lakh per year for tweny years insurance cum investment policy
with Max New York Life Insuarance.

Max New York doubled the frequency of premium payments to Rs one lakh every six
months.

After my repeated protests at the enhanced frequency of premiums, and after a lot of
protracted correspondence, Max New York reverted to Rs one lakh per year policy
(Annex A below refers).

To make payment of my premium under the renewed policy, falling due in Oct 09, I
tried using thee Max New York Life Ins website's online payment facility using the
policy number given at Annex A (432977775). The website demanded premium due date
which I did not know as Max New York Life only informed the policy number and not
the premium due date.

Based on logic, I filled up the premium due date as 22 Oct 09, but what was returned
by the site was something pertaining to entirely new person Mr Manikeshwar Pandey
(Annex C). In fact, any premium due date entry resulted in the same client
Manikeshwar Pandey and not mine, viz., Godavarthi Venkata Srinivas.

I promptly pointed this fact to M/S Max New York asking them to first correct their
site and also to redress my requirment of wanting to make the online premium
payment. I was responded with a silence. I sent many reminders (Annex B is one of
them) but in vain.

In the meanwhile, I am stuck with first premium made last year in Oct 09 amounting
to Rs one lakh.

Such a shabby service and customer response from Max New York Life calls in for a
suitable penalty.

I Gopal Banerjee having a policy from Max new York life insurance on 19nth of December 2009 my policy no. is 741023360. and I got my policy bond on 8th January 2010 and due to some personal problem I want to freelook my policy so that I was sent my policy document to max head office in gurgaon on 9th of January 2010 before sending the bond I was. talked with max customer care they said ok send the bond and after delivering you will receive your amount cheque wthin 15 to 20 days . then after I was confirmed from customer care about bond they said yes they had received the bond on 14 january 2010. and they said your request is in process. Afterthat I was talk to customer care around 13, 14 times but they have no reply they said your case is followed by ms. savita and we don’t have clarification on that so please contact with savita only and I was call to max new York head office also but they are not respond me properly. I was talked with ( sandeep , yamini harmeet etc in customer care)

And I want to know what I do with that my problem.

In case you are not satisfied with the response of the Customer Service Centre, send a written notice via registered post to the CMD of Max new York life insurance with your complaint reference number and details of the complaint / grievance.

Dear Sir,
I took a policy on 27 July 2009, payment was debited from my credit card but I did not receieved the policy pack, I keep on contacting SM and agent they keep on saying soon you will get it, then finally one day SM said that I did not get any comission from your policy and your agent has been fired from our company so you will have to wait untill we allocate you another agent. finally I complaint it on customer care, and then gave the written complaint on 22 Jan 2010 for policy cancellation to noida GO2 office, when I contact on customer care they said they have some different service request to change in phone number, although I have the acknowledgement of that complaint with different content.

Finally I got the policy pack on 3 Feb 2010, I have gone through this policy, I found it completely different than the plan I was expected. within three days after I got the policy I have given another complaint alongwith policy document for cancellation, but now they are saying it can not be cancelled, reason soon we will mail you.

Pls. suggest me what should I do?
