    Post Re Metlife ULIP Policy no 00379039

    Dear Sir,

    I, Rohit Trivedi want to lodge complaint against Metlife India Insurance co. Ltd in Consumer court.
    I had taken Metlife ULIP plan in September 2007. My ULIP policy number is 00379039. I have been paying all my premium installments on time. I had paid my last premium installment of INR 75000 on 30th March 2010 and Payment was made through Pay order no 141949 dated 30-03-2010.
    And it was handed over to Metlife Jaipur Branch FPC Mohit mehta on 31-03-2010. However, same was not credited to my policy till date. When I inquired with Metlife customer care, they informed me after sending them loads of reminder that they have not received the payment and my policy is lapsed due to non-payment of premium. Apparently, Metlife FPC Mohit Mehta had misplaced/lost the pay order handed over to him by my bank (Axis Bank) Employee Ms. Ankita Saikia as I am out of India. Since, I had paid my installment on time with amount already debited from my account on 30th March 2010 and it was metlife FPC Mohit Mehta’s fault for having pay order misplaced/lost, I told metlife that I can hand over a fresh pay order of INR 75000 after cancelling the old pay order but they should allocate me the no of shares in “multiplier Scheme” of ULIP plan basis my payment made on 30th March2010.
    However, metlife is not responding to my query. In the meantime I have asked my bank (axis Bank) to cancel old pay order and hand over new pay order to metlife in order to reinstate the policy at the earliest.

    I had also given them notice before filing consumer complaint on 30th June 2010.

    Angry MetLife Policy Number-00178859 Premium paid online not credited

    I made a payment of my premium using MetLife online payment facility using my Credit Card, same was debited to my credit card but never credited to Metlife Policy.

    I got to know about this when Metlife started sending me premium due reminder SMS.

    I followed up with Metlife by email several times they asked me account statements of credit card etc, although I think this is the job of metlife to track why this is not credited, I sent the credit card statement, everytime I write an email to Metlife the auto response email from them says we will get back to you in 5 days and they will never follow this, this time at least 8 working days have passed since my last email to Metlife and no response yet.

    I do not think that this is such a big issue that will take more than 3 months to get resolve.

    Anyway please suggest should I file a case against them in consumer forum as even after paying premium at right time my policy is lapsed since 3 months.
