i am nri customer with centurionbank of punjab jalandhar.bank manager and his cluster head with aviva manager sold me the plan life long of three year payment tream.after three year i ask for my money the aviva and cbop now as hdfc bank say i will get only 30% of my fund value.
please help me to get my hard money.

for all nri like me please don't buy any insurance or pension plan in india.

I have been member of HDFC bank as far as I remember and trusted the bank a lot, until they fooled my unsuspecting mother into buying some Aviva Insurance policies, which were sold as three year policies and now they claim that we have to make payment for our life else we lose 50% of the money we invested. All the conditions were explained to my mother on phone. She was told that this is 3 years policy and that she will be sent documents that she should sign and send back. She was also recommended to buy the policy for me. My mother agreeing with what she was told on phone and as she is not so fluent in english to understand the terms and conditions of Insurance documents, bought the policy for both of us. We have been duly cheated and neither Aviva or HDFC is helping us.

Can someone please tell me how to proceed in such a case? Has anyone filed a formal complaint against HDFC and Aviva as i have heard that thousands of people were cheated with the same policy.

4 yrs ago one aviva guy sold me one policy by explaining false facts about the policy.
I was told that i have to pay 3 premiums(50000/each) for the policy and i will get some
fixed amount of money after 3 yrs. Becuase of moving to canada i coudn't read the policy document.
After paying 2 premiums of 50000 each when i inquired about the policy, got to knoe that i have to
pay the premium for 15 yrs and even after that there is no gurantee for money.
I filed complaint in aviva office but these guys are not taking any action and putting the blame of not reading the policy document. And when asked about money they are giving me only 12000 out of 1 lakh.
Mistake is mine because i trusted that guy and the brand name.

Can anybody help me to get my money back. I guess some honest employee of aviva should be able to help me out.

I am NRI, I have been advised by an agent Bajaj Capital to taken AVIVA LIFE INSURANCE policy and also told me that we can withdraw the policy after 3 years, as they advised I taken the policy and paid my policy money Rs 60,000 for first year, for some period I didn't pay my second year premium. I advised by AVIAV that I have to pay at least for three year otherwise the paid money will not be given back. so I paid the premium for three years the total Rs 1,80,000 now after completion of three years I asked AVIVA LIFE INSURANCE to withdraw my police. They are telling me that I will get only Rs 92,000 and they deduct the balance money. Its amazing what for they are deducting 50% of my money after enjoying three years???

I disappointed very much I don't know what to do now and how to proceed to get back my money. its really armful for the life.

Please don't take AVIVA LIFE INSURANCE by believing somebody and without knowing the problems. Really it is not suitable for common people.
