    Default Complaint against Flipkart | HP Laptop

    I purchased a HP Laptop on Oct 19 2011. After using the laptop for 15 days, I realized it crashes a lot of time and gets heated a lot. I, being an engineer myself, tried investigating the problem. I realized that problem is due to malfunctioning fan and only replacement was an option. Flipkart has promised 30 day replacement guarantee and hence I contacted the customer service (CS) on Nov 17 2011, with in 3 weeks after I received the laptop. On Nov 21st, 4 days after complaint, customer service agreed to replace it. Though they claimed that they do not have the laptop in stock and hence will issue me store credit or refund.

    By then I was travelling for 2 weeks and hence it was not possible for me to arrange for reverse pickup. Hence I asked CS if its okay to wait 2 weeks. They said its not a problem. I did not bother checking the website to see if laptop is really in stock or not. On 2nd Dec 2011 after I reached back home I contacted them again about it. The agent kept pushing it around till 5th Dec 2011. On 5th Dec 2011 one Mr Sandip B promised me that this will be taken care of in next 72 hours.

    Today it is 12 th Dec 2011 and still there is no progress from there side. Also after I checked the website, I see the same laptop is actually in stock. I bought this laptop during promotions of Diwali festival and now it costs around Rs 2,500 extra.

    I think flipkart should keep their guarantee of 30 day replacement and honor it by shipping the replacement as soon as possible. I have been a flipkart customer since two years now with more than Rs 2,00,000 spent on the site.

    I have now decided that if they do not honor commitment to replace the laptop, I should go ahead with a consumer complaint in courts as I completely feel cheated in this case.


    I bought this laptop during promotions of Diwali festival and now it costs around Rs 2,500 extra. That I think is the reason why they do not want to give me a replacement.

    Not to mention they claim, or their courier Bluedart claims, that I was not around to co-operate with reverse pickup. Where as I have been down with flu from 5th to 9th Dec so it was impossible for me to not be around. And since then as well I have been home during afternoon, till 6.30 pm (CS told me it will happen between 2-6pm).

    I think flipkart should keep their guarantee of 30 day replacement and honor it by shipping the replacement as soon as possible. I have been a flipkart customer since two years now with more than Rs 2,00,000 spent on the site.
