i purchased this laptop 3 yrs back. now something went wrong and i gave it to a HP service station (GOODWILL COMPUTER chinchwad) for repairs on 22/10/2011. the service i got from there was a disastrous experience. on submitting the laptop i asked for a proper deposit invoice/bill, which they did not give, along with a promise of repairing the laptop in 3 days. after 3 days they still did not diagnose the actual problem. after waiting for more 3 days they said that the laptop has been sent to the service station and i will be getting it in 5 days. the person in the showroom was arrogant and abusive. i did not expect such cheap service from your side. after calling them on the 5th day i was told that my display ic has to be changed and i will have to pay 4500 rs. i agreed and allowed them to do the repairs. still after another wait of two days i got my laptop and now they claimed that some part of my motherboard was faulty and they were charging me extra 500rs for it making my total bill of 5000rs. this was shit, i did not even get to know the proof of my problem and the so called "motherboard issue". and not to mention there were damages done to my laptop. and more of all. even after giving it for repairs in an authorised HP showroom, i did not get any INVOICE/BILL from them, inspite of forcing for a bill they were reluctant to give one .this was a very bad and abusive experience with HP and now i will make sure that no one from my office and my friends go for an HP/COMPAQ laptop. at one time i felt that you have employed goons at your franchisee, now i am changing my laptop and going for DELL which obviously is a better brand having a good corporate service. i am also posting this experience of mine on the consumer sites. i will personally look into it that nobody from my known goes for a hp laptop.
