    I have been facing hassles in chasing up with Sony Vaio Complaint Handling Team Incharge for a solution regarding My VAIO LAPTOP which has multiple Software N Hardware Faliure within warranty period.

    IS THERE ANYONE WHO IS LOOKING AT THIS MAIL AND CAN RESOLVE PROBLEM.

    BASED ON MY COMPLAINT WHICH I HAVE REPORTED I HAVE GOT A CALL FROM VINEETA ( WHO SAID SHE WAS FROM ESCALATION HANDLING DEPARTMENT) WAS NOT COMPETENT TO UNDERSTAND MY ISSUE AND RESPONDED THAT I HAVE TO TAKE BACK THE REPAIRED LAPTOP ONCE THE REPAIR IS DONE.

    TWO TIMES THERE HAS BEEN HARDWARE FAILURE IN THE LAPTOP WITHIN TWO MONTHS AND STILL I AM BEING SAID TO KEEP THE REPAIRED ONE.

    PLEASE RESOLVE MY ISSUE URGENTLY.

    Dear All,
    I have purchased Sony Vaio Laptop VGN-CS15GN (sr. no. 7001931) on 16 October 08. Since the purchase of my laptop I have been continuously experiencing trouble in both software and hardware of the Laptop. The very first day when I purchased the laptop the ODD (Optical disk drive) was not functioning and based on the hardware failure the dealer has replaced the machine for me. However this was not the end of the issues which started after my owning this Vaio Laptop. It became a natural behaviour of the laptop to frequently breakdown because of software issues for which had been resolved always by restoring the laptop in factory settings which always gave me pain in reinstalling all my software’s which I loose.

    Now all such multiple non ending software problems continued and apparently hardware failure began along with Battery Back up Issue aswell. On 01.07.09 my laptop was submitted for heat sink failure (processor cooling fan) vide case id : 300623661. This was not the end and just after two months again a major hardware failure vide case id: 300633190 happened and this time Motherboard of the Laptop malfunctioned and now my Laptop was completely dead. It has been over two weeks that my laptop is still with the service centre.

    The only one thing which I want to bring in to your notice is that the laptop which I have purchased has Product Quality Issue and just within the first year of purchase all these trouble and hardware failure has happened. This time when the motherboard has been replaced I am sure which will be a refurbished one will again make me into trouble and I will end up with paying huge service cost because of this product which is below its quality standards.

    In the last, I would like to request you to kindly process a replacement or refund for this Laptop which does makes me happy of being a owner of such product.

    Default complaint of lack of warrenty

    hello all..
    i have vaio cr g series lap top and it has given me endless prob since purchase
    i m done wid recovery disks and all.
    by some means as i was outside india i cldnt extend my warrenty period and now my lap top is completely shut
    and wen i go to service centre they say its a prob with motherboard and an estimate of 20,000 rupees with no warrenty at all for the changed component...
    i cant extend my warrenty by paying extra amount even, such is the policy of the company which is followed by no other manufacturer of lap tops in india...
    please tell me a via media for my problem thankyou

    Hi,

    Have got the Sony Vaio Notebook VPCCW21FG purchased from US. Only a month later , speakers got damaged automatically (only after the usage of 15-20 days). Since this product was bought from US, imported to India (without international warranty) have to got it repaired from SONY authorised dealer in JANPATH at the cost of 2900/-.

    Was wondering the well known brand like SONY is not considering the damage as a manufacturing defect and charging the amount to get the same rectified.

    My question is that if a product got damage after the considerate amount of usage, only then the question of warranty come into exisitence. IS THIS THE SUPPORT OR SERVICE, sony is providing to their customers.

    Moreover I am yet hear back from SONY since I have lodged a complaint dtd 9/6/2010.

    Sony Vaio Notebook VPCCW21FG doesn’t have any manufacturing defect or product-specific issue. We have not come across any other such complaints or charging issues. Please elaborate on your problems.

    Please do remember that Sony doesn’t charge its customers anything if there is a product-specific defect.

    Also, request you to post all Sony-related complaints and concerns on our official website. This may help you in getting proper assistance for your queries.

    I m satish kumar payasi working in ACC cement as an deputy manager in bargarh(orissa).i was purchased my Sony vaio laptop,model no.-VPCEB36FG/B, Sr.no.:S01-7003667-D P-27532273-D,from Tandon electronics,nagpur,in 10th nov.2010.i used my laptop for my official uses as well as personal uses not more than 1 month out of during 3 months.on 3rd feb.2011 my laptop’s touchpad scroller mouse is not working even usb port mouse is working properly & dvd writer is unbalancing condition.from these problems I not able to use my laptop properly.i m very worry about that sony customer care center toll free no.18001037799 not give good response to me.from these problems my many works are effected.sony give 1 year warranty with my laptop but now when I need help from sony against for warranty terms this time now,sony not give good & take necessarey action for resolve my problem.sony delivers best customer service in world.i m very worry about that type of service.please do necessary action for this my complaint & resolve my problem.i will very thankfull to u for this great help.

    There are many cases which had come forward regarding sony vaio laptops services, as it is one of the most sophisticated and costly laptop which are not make for any educational experimental purpose.

    Default Sony Service Center making fool of Customers

    Hi,

    I purchased Sony Vaio from US last year.According to the Sony warranty rules,they dont provide international warranty so i abide by that.
    Last week the OS(windows Vista premium) got crashed and i tried to use the recovery DVD's to install it again.unfortunately the DVD's didn't worked.
    So in order to get my OS back i took my laptop to the company service center in bangalore(Sony india Pvt. Ltd. Sri Krishna Road Indira nagar Bangalore).
    They assured me that the laptop will be reinstalled with the original OS within 2 or 3 days.
    But today I got a call from Sony Service center and they are telling me that the hard disk of your laptop is corrupted and you need to purchase a new one which costs Rs.12000.

    Being from a software industry from past 5 yrs I know what happens if hard disk crashes in laptop but these service center guys are just making fool of me here.
    I request Sony to look into the matter and take some relevant action asap or I am going to lodge a complaint in Consumer Court.

    forget service and quality ,Sony salesman are very arrogent . you ask them whats good about sony they dont know, on asking specification they tell to read from case , and when ask about configaration they will put lame reply "sir you want configaration go for dell/HP/lenavo"? haha what a assholes , i walked by the side Dell exclusive at the same place nehru place delhi and now i am happy user of dell .
    even though i was determined to buy vaio that day but lost my decision by the sony salesman there . i thought if the sony corp cant keep a good sales that also at nehru place new delhi and instead they are keeping these double breed dog to bark at us?
    lets boycott sony vaio till they dont teach thir salesman how to talk with customer

    Default sony vaio VPCEG18FG a defective product. must be recalled from the existing customers

    I purchased SONY VAIO VPCEG18FG . S NO.275449757004995. three months ago. SONY VAIO on usage of YOU TUBE makes a loud noise, the screen goes blank and after few seconds the laptop restarts.

    My laptop is in warranty period and this is a persisting problem. i also know a few other people who are using the same model and facing similar problem.

    SONY VAIO service station people have been non cooperative.

    Unhappy Same problem with VPCEG18FG

    i bought this model 2 months ago in Singapore. Since I bought it, it has shut down unexpectedly 4 or 5 times. Therefore, I sent it to service center. The result is that after 2 big operations my lap was back to me with the explanation of the technician that they are still working on such common problems. No solutions have been found at all.
    Actually, I fell so disapointed with sony waio recently. Though it was the first time I bought a sony waio, it really failed to meet my expectations.
    Anyway, if anyone of you have any idea to solve this kind of problem, plz share with me. Thank you in advance.

    Default faulty laptop sold

    hello,

    I purchased sony vaio laptop on 2-oct-11.The first day i brought laptop there ws prblem in it,it stopped several times while working..i contact ur tollfree no- 1800-103-7799 they told me that there is some prblem with the OS and it needs to be restored i agreed and perform the task your technical person taught..

    NOW the next again the same prblem occured i again called sony centre again the said formating is required, i did the same again ...

    NOW the next day again problem i again make a call to customer care they said visit nearby service centre the problem is with the hardware, i did the same again,i visited the vaishali centre in ghaziabad, They said we need system to check i said ok..i submitted my laptop..After 3 days i received the call your laptop is working fine now,,I said ok and i collectes the laptop after reaching home i went outof station for 2 weeks and after returning i again checked my laptop again the same problem..

    NOW, i again submitted the laptop in vaishali centre with the same problem ,i received call from sony centre after 2 days that the motherboard of my laptop is faulty and it will take a week to be replaced i said ok..fine....after a week i again visited the centre they told me that motherboard has been replaced..I went out to the centre i pressed the power button of my laptop again it shut down..the engineer told me i need the laptop to check it more ...After 3 days i again received the call from sony centre that your CPU is also faulty and it needs to be replaced and it wil take 15 days to be replaced..the laptop is with the service centre itself..

    i purchased sony laptop because of the brand name .I am suffering a lot because of your faulty laptop.i purchased new laptop and i want my new laptop,dont want the repaired lone. i want my laptop to be replaced immediately with NEW LAPTOP..as my work is suffering because of this.
