    Default Dell Inspiron 1525 Laptop

    Sir,

    I purchased Dell Inspiron 1525 Laptop vide customer code:318006, purchased order no.780050956 date:21.03.08, customer code:318006, Po no.IRSO1294099, by online purchase directly from Dell, Banglore with one year warrantee on all items delivered at Jaipur address for my son Mr. shashank Goyal, a student of BE.

    It is to brought to your kind notice that the battery of the laptop got expired before one year as a message appeared on 14.02.09 on my laptop that "Your battery's life has expired, please order new battery immediately."

    This matter was brought to the company by my son to dell consumer cell and they register our case file no.780501555300 on dt:16.02.09. Tag no.7BFH1BS is written on my laptop as dell consumer cell asked this for reference.

    They asked some questions and asked us to follow some steps on the laptop concerned and noted down the contents and further instead of offering battery replacement (as on that day, it was within warranty period) they asked us to purchase a new battery and send us quotations by email copy is given below:

    This is with reference to the call logged with our Technical team, the charges for the spares/services are as below.

    6 Cell Battery : Rs.4300.00 taxes inclusive
    While sending the payment send the complete address. (All taxes inclusive)
    Step 1:
    · On receipt of this quote for parts, customer is expected to either release a purchase order or sign the quotation(s) and send the same along with their payment by Fax/Courier/Mail, to Dell, to receive the parts and avail the installation service (if ordered).
    · On receipt of this payment, Dell would schedule a call at a mutually convenient date and time to carry out this service and rectify the fault.

    Note:
    · These services are carried out during Monday to Friday, 9 AM till 6 PM (excluding national holidays) and typically scheduled within 3-4 weeks of receipt of payment.

    · Purchase orders and payments (Cheque/DD Only) should be in the name of Dell India Pvt Ltd. (EMAIL order Confirmation cannot be processed)
    · Parts supplied, carry 90 days warranty.
    · For Credit card payments see below.
    · No payments either in cash or cheque is accepted by engineer, it has to be couriered to the above address.

    Important: While releasing the order/payment please mention the service tag number and quotation number in the PO/backside of the DD or CHEQUE.

    I, further corresponded with dell repeatedly till now to replace battery considering it within warranty. But, they did not bother and threaten to go to consumer forrum.

    Red face blue screen error

    sir,
    here my laptop dell inspiron series has a critical problem blue screen..
    please send ur answer a soon as.... it is too critical problem my laptop to open windows.

    In reference to your above problem..

    As the purchase date has not mentioned above. There are two ways to resolve the issue.
    1) If warranty is prevailing just give call to dell customer care and the issue will be addressed for free as every dell laptop holds an onsite warranty after a remote diagnosis.
    2) If warranty is expired, you are supposed to bear the charges for the above,

    Default Cheap quality laptop sold at exorbitant price

    I have a dell inspiron laptop servive tag no.76dv2bs i had asked for replacement just 2 months after i purchased the laptop
    i am facing problems with the laptop from beginning
    most of the parts have been replaced or is not functioning properly and the os crashes every month
    i am unable to use the laptop.there is huge data loss to our company thrice in 10 months.i cannot rely on this laptop for my business use now hence it is of no use for me.
    I want a replacement of this laptop(no compromise) as it is faulty at
    your earliest
    i am really upset buying this laptop!!!
    Dell officials are not replacing the laptop
    in 10 months parts worth rs.20000 or higher has been replaced and i hardly got any time to use the laptos because it was faulty most of the time
    now the warranty will expire in two months then who will pay for parts
    this laptop has been continiously giving problems
    there has been huge business loss due to hardware failure
