    On 19th july I found that my adapter was not working for my *HP LAPTOP DV4
    1240 TX{ CND 9072B5P} ;adapter no CT: WACMC0CHHX25NY*
    Along with my Laptop, I Provided the above mentioned adaptor to the service
    centre on 20th,july 2009;monday and got a token no 9777. for 3 days there
    was no communication except that "we are observing". On thursday due to my
    insistence they gave back laptop and adaptor and said its working. But to my
    UTTER DISSAPOINTMENT i found it was not working when i tried it. Back on
    friday 24th i called and coaxed them to give me a temporary replacemnt of an
    adapter untill they could either repair or replace with a new one { The
    laptop is just a couple of months old and comes under warranty} They
    obliged.

    *BUT TODAY 31st july 2009 WHEN I GOT BACK THE ADAPTER I FOUND ITS NOT
    WORKING*. I AM AN MBA STUDENT WITH LIMITED TIME. SO FAR THE WHOLE PROCESS
    HAS BEEN SO TIRING FOR MY DAD {who shutteles between work, your service
    centre & my place of study} COZ I AM NOT ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE CAMPUS WHERE I
    STUDY. Tomorrow i e 1st August,2009 for the LAST TIME IN MY LIFE *I AM
    PERSONALLY GOING TO THE SERVICE CENTRE AND ASKING FOR A REPLACEMENT TO
    BE IMMEDIATLY PROVIDED / SHIPPED TO MY HOME ADDRESS. I DONT CARE IF YOU
    PEOPLE ARE GOING TO SERVICE THE ADAPTER. I WANT A REPLACEMENT.*

    I WILL WITHDRAW THIS MAIL ONCE I RECIEVE A REPLACEMENT... *IN CASE OF
    NEGATIVE RESPONSE { I DONT FIND ANY REASON WHY YOU CANT PROVIDE ME A NEW
    ADAPTER} THIS WILL BE FORWARDED TO YOUR CUSTOMER SUPPORT HEAD INDIA & CC TO
    CUSTOMER RELATIONS VP HP GLOBAL.*

    So kindly do the needful. in case i recieve replacement immediatly i ll mail
    you about it and withdraw this complaint.

    I am very upset after purchasing the HP laptop , as from past 1 month I am regularly facing problems with my laptop.
    Firstly I faced LCD problem ( one horizontal line used to come ), that has been repaired and now one new problem has come
    that my laptop detects CD - ROM as USB ( Safely remove hardware ). For that your customer care told me that this is a feature
    in my laptop ( Model no DV 4 - 1319 TV), but to be truthful when I had purchased this laptop this problem was not there and even
    yesterday I went in Hypercity mall ( from where i have purchased ) to verify the same thing in the new laptop of the same feature,
    it was not there. I have visited your service centre for this many times to solve this query as this problem has arisen after the change
    of LCD and even your customer service has verified with one laptop with same feature in front of me on 14 jan 2010, and the result
    was same, this issue was not there. And after that they were unable to help me to solve this particular issue.

    Default Problem with HP laptop

    Hi,

    I have purchased the HP laptop in 2008, time I purchased it has the over heating problem. Now suddenly the display is not working.
    Laptop seems to be starting fine but no display at all but when connected to external monitor it works fine.

    while tracing the problem on internet I came across the forums I figured out that this is due to the manufacturing fault laptop has the faulty nvidia GPU and many people seems to have this problem. While this is the manufacturer fault to sold the faulty product HP is not giving any repair or replacement on my model as they have released the magic list of model. Its not clear on what basis they have prepared this list as my laptop has all the symptoms described in the document that has nvidia faulty gpu.

    Please help................
