I want to file a complaint against Dell Computers. I have bought a new Dell desktop computer on March 2007 with three years warranty and I reported issue of accidental damage of the Laptop which is still under complete cover warranty. This warranty covers accidental damage.
I reported this case (2166393) to dell on 25th May 2009, the following problems I faced:
1. They say that the case was reported on 6th July 2009.
2. They said that the replacement will take up to 20-30 calendar days but now it is more than 65 days and they say that it will take more 5-10 business days to get the new laptop.
3. When I called Dell on Wednesday morning to tell them that I am going to file a complaint in consumer court, the executive told me that you can file a case but I will get the laptop picked up only on Friday/ Monday and it will take 5-10 business days to replace the same. And he talked very rudely. I have a audio recording for the same.
The annoying procedure is as follows:
I informed to Dell about my accidentally broken Laptop for replacement about 60-70 days ago. It has not been replaced yet. Every time I call them there is a different story all together:
1. After 20 days of submission of request I have to callback and ask what the progress is. They said that I am sending you the mail with the documents which you need to fill in and send back. I did that the same day.
2. I called after 2 weeks they say that they are working on it and I will get a callback from the replacement team soon.
3. I called again after 2 weeks they say that the person I sent the mail to has left the company and I need to send the mail again. {Is that my mistake?}.
3. When I called after a couple of days my call was transferred to Mr. Chandran(Chandan_Pappu@dell.com)He told me that please send the mail again I sent it the same day.
4. after a couple of weeks when I E mailed Him for status he told me that he called me where in I did not receive any call (I checked call logs on my phone).
5. On 23rd Jul I sent him a status mail again there is no reply.
5. I called Dell again on Wednesday but agents talked very rudely and told me go ahead and do the complaint in consumer court
