Dear Sir I am writing to you for the second time with my fingers crossed and hoping that this time I will get justice for the troubles I have gone through. This is regarding the delay in laptop servicing because of which I had to suffer huge financial losses. I have been under a lot of mental tension and I have lost my physical heath because of this entire episode. I purchased a HP laptop in Dubai in September 2007, while I was working there for a MNC company. The laptop is under International warranty, which will expire on 30th September 2009. I moved back to India in June 2008 and joined XLRI as a Research Analyst. On 30th October 2008, my laptop started giving some display error and I took it to the authorized hp service centre in Jamshedpur (NSP DIGITAL CARE Pvt. Ltd). They re-fixed the RAM and keyboard and returned the laptop to me on 4th November 2008. My laptop worked fine for 4 days after which the same issue again came in. I returned my laptop to the service centre on 13th November 2008 and they told me that they need to order the motherboard and it will take around 7-8 working days. You will be surprised to hear that it took them almost 45 days to arrange for a motherboard. Finally, I received my laptop on 30th December 2008. In between, I also called up Mr. Samit Das (on 23rd December 2008) and intimated him about the financial losses I had to suffer because of this delay in the laptop servicing. There was no satisfactory response and I was the one who had to bear all the financial losses because of the delay in laptop servicing, which was under warranty. My laptop worked fine for next 30 days and during this time, I returned to Jaipur. On 31st January 2009, I took my laptop to the authorized hp service centre in Jaipur (RT Outsourcing Services Ltd.). I was told that there is some issue with the LCD screen and it needs to be replaced. Further, they added that it would take around a week for the spare part to arrive. I did not hear from the service cen
Sir, I have narrated the entire episode to you with all the facts. Further, I would like to bring to your notice that I am working as a freelance statistical consultant and I work around 7-8 hours per day with an average earnings of 35$/hr. I believe that you understand that being a freelance consultant my earnings are through my laptop only. During this entire episode, I have lost around 600 working hours (for three months my laptop was in service centers), at the rate of 7 hours per day. My financial losses has been close to 18000$ spread over a period of 3 months, at the rate of 35$ per hour. I want the company to compensate me for my financial losses and apologize, in written, for their negligent behavior. Further, I want the company to assure me that this will never be repeated in future.
