sony vaio (defective laptop)
I have purchased sony vaio EA16FG/G on 16.06.2010 from Sony Center located at swaroop nagar, kanpur.
On 26.09.2010 laptop encountered start-up problem which followed booting problem, for which i deposited it at service centre located at kanpur on 27.09.2010. At the service centre they first diagnosed it as hard disk problem then following a week motherboard problem was announced by them. they also reciprocated that it was a manufacturing defect and now they want to change my processor, as according to them it is a rare problem.
as everything in my laptop has been changed except the outer case past one month, so i want my whole laptop to be replaced with a new one.
its been one month and i'm final year medical student and i have compensated a lot past one month.

Sony Vaio service centre.
Subject:- Unsatisfying after sales service from Mehtas
I Mr. Vikrant Jadhav purchased Sony Vaio laptop bearing model
number:- VPCEB21EM/BIIN5 27506772 on 25th day of September 2010 from
I encountered problem in my Laptop within 2 weeks of my
purchase. I consulted e-zone shop manager regarding my laptop problem,
he suggested me to explaining the problem to sony vaio service centre
at Mehtas electrotech Thane.
They took my laptop with them on 15/10/2010 and gave me job
sheet for it bearing number:- WS100637410101500723. And assured me the
problem would be solved in couple of days but the problem was not
solved, they again assured me the problem would be solved in weeks
time and said that there is some problem with the keyboard and assured
me after changing the key board my laptop problem will be solved , but
again the problem is not solved even after changing the key board, its
almost 12 days my laptop is not with me and my laptop is not repaired,
now they need more time and said that they have to change hard-disk
and now even the hard-disk is changed my laptops problem is still not
resolved. And now they are asking for more time and now they have
taken my laptop to Head office which is totally unknown to me.
There is huge loss with my work as all my work is on computer. I
have been harassed by the sony vaio service center as there is no call
backs from them, I always have to call up and follow up with them and
inquire about my laptop. They very rude and unprofessional to talk
I have even seen many scratches on my Brand new laptop. It is
even more horrifying to see this kind of condition of my brand new
Itís a kind request that I want Laptop in brand new condition and
repaired condition as it was before. If not then I want a new piece
from company. If company fails to do so then I may have to knock the
door of consumer Court.
Written below are the details of my laptop.
