I bought a HP laptop model no. - COMPAQ PRESARIO CQ40-108TU
on 12th JAN 09, invoice no. 737 from Keypoint computers, Jalandhar, Punjab, India.
I was promised a Kodak 9mp camera as a promotional gift & accordingly I applied for redemption from HP by sending the requisites to the said address.
Then waited in vain. The redmption cell does not respond to phone calls by consumers, I tried like hell to contact as my gift did not come through, but no one answered.
Then one fine day my letter with draft of 1200/rs comes back instead of the gift. It says you do not qualify for the gift & no further reasons are given.
I again get in touch with the dealer & company but no body helps.
I have the web page screen shot with me which justifies my claim as the offer is mentioned there, it can still be checked on HP India website.
This is utterly disgusting service by HP & I am very angry/pained.
Please help me on this, the present Indian HP administration is not bothered about consumers.
A bad game has been played on me & I warn other unsuspecting consumers against falling in this trap.
Upon searching on net, I found numerous stories about HP duping consumers on false redemption promises.

I bought the laptop for 35,869.60/- Indian Rs.
Im really upset & writing in vain, please help me.:D

I have purchased a computer system of HP (redemption code HMBWC3XY88 dtd 24.02.2009) along with offered gift UPS and Printer-scanner-fax (3 in 1) which will be delivered latter as per the offer. I have recvd the UPS on 15.07.2009 after several follow up but till date the 3 in 1 is not recvd. My claim file is 97358 on 12.08.2009. It was told (email) from HP that I will be inform about the same but till date I didnt recv any schedule of delivery.
I became very disappointed about such business policy of HP which is beyond imagination.
Plz help so that I can get my gift.

I have bought a HP laptop and have a gift of lcd tv. I have completed all the formalities and though the gift is approved by hp redemption cell.The cheque of Rs 9000/- cashed by the cell but still no delivery of the gift approved.
Earlier it shows in the status that delivery is due by march 13th 2010,but till now no dispatch detail of my gift. I am calling daily but only computerised machine answering, non of the official attending the phone.It cause harrassment.
The service of HP redemption cell is the worst among all the worst services. Kindly help me out.

These people are fraud.
It is 420 and they should be sent to jail.
They withdraw money and enjoy the same at the cost of customers.
Maybe 1 out of 100 gets this product.
My item code CNU9314N1M has not been dispatched inspite of repeated requests for more than 4 months of my payment.
They have withdrawn payment of 9000/- with a written understanding that the product will be delivered within 4-6 weeks.
HP and this f**** cell have connived together to cheat us by fraudulently withdrawing money against promises not to be kept and now not responding at all. HP should be ashamed to let this happen.
This is my last correspondence prior to a legal notice.
