poor life of inspron battery

i bought dell inspirion laptop from carrfour abudhabi 27/07/09 and using doing well on 17/08/09 the screen went black with no display . i was on a visit to uae and they insisted to enter the laptop to maintainnace and refused to replace it as this is considered a manufacture defaute . i regirted buying dell and i am leaving without an actual service done.
