    Default laptop repair/service

    sir,
    i had given my dell laptop which was more than 3yrs old for repair with a laptop repair company in kochi (50 kms away from where i stay) because it was not getting charged on AC. They charged me a hefty amount of 4000 and returned the laptop the very next day. I checked it there and took it home. The repair was covered with a warranty of 90 days. But the moment i brought it home i discovered that the laptop was still unrepaired and it started showing the same old problem by the evening on the same day.

    Therefore I immediately called them and returned it to them the very next day. It has been more than 50 days since then and they are saying it is still under repair. They dont let me talk to the manager/owner of the company nor do they pick up my phones. I have already been there around 10 to 12 times making time in between my CA studies. I even claimed the refund on my last visit.

    It is clear that the laptop is irrepairable and yet they are not willing to provide me with the refund. So they are claiming that the laptop shows an entirely new problem now and asking me for a week's extension every time!. I am really frustrated now and i really want to teach them a leason.

    I have the following documents with me. Would they be enough for lodging a complaint?
    1. Estimate/ Quotation - description of repair done with cost/price
    2. Delivery Challan/Gate pass - That i recived the laptop in good condition!
    3. Reciept of cash
    4. Document showing laptop reciept by them

    When i returned the laptop for repair, they gave the me the same laptop reciept document (No.4 as above) as they had given me first.

    Please guide me on this and let me know how strong my side is.
