I purchased a sony vaio e series 2 weeks ago from low yat mall,kuala lumpur. after a week of purchase, the touch pad stopped working. So i went to the sony centre and after checking my laptop for the whole day, they told me it is a factory defect and replaced my laptop with a new one. After a week, i am facing the same problem again. using the external mouse now as i am told that i will not get any replacement because it was done once. Just name the laptop and i have used it. But no laptop has disappointed me so much. I understand the small issues which we face usually, like the battery issues, but that happens after 6 months. But here, the battery life is bad from the start. The speakers are corrupt in just 2 days. seriously, whats going on? I can bet you that every reputation sony has earned has been brought down by e series. i will make sure nobody buys sony vaio ever again. I am a student and i live in a place filled with 50,000 students. this isnt a threat, i will do it. if you cannot respect your customers and cannot give us the value for our money, i cannot let others get duped by your product.
And yes, did your toll free number ever work?
