This is regarding my experience with Digital Care, located at 1C, Charu Avenue, Kolkata - 700033.

After first visit to them which was just to fix a hinge, the laptop lost it's display. After second visit to fix the display, during which they kept the laptop for more than 5 months, the body was seriously damaged and all the working parts were damaged - the HDD was physically damaged, the DVD drive bay was disoriented and the side body grills were broken. Unfortunately I could not check the HDD and the DVD while receiving the laptop as I had to rush back from the repair shop due to an urgent call.

Since the laptop was in a condition that it could not be tested without opening the parts, I could not do the same over the last 2 months. Finally when I did manage to do so yesterday, I was shocked and really taken aback to realize how I had been duped and cheated.

I trusted them with my my complete faith but they are extremely callous and intimidating when you question them about their mal-handling.

They may have repaired a lot of laptops as they proudly claim and that's exactly why i landed up there but this personal experience of mine has been nothing short of a nightmare.

Please advise how to proceed in this regard. What are the options available with me? I understand that I have made my case weak by not having checked the laptop parts during receipt. If they have done this with me, they must have done the same with several others. I want to stop them and stem the rot. Please help.
