i purchased a laptop of HP, Machine serial no. CNF80330M5, Product no. KG595PA#ACJ, Model no.K6595PA on 22/04/2008. According to company's terms warranty is applicable for 1 year, but i received a call in 4th month i.e. in september 2008 from Aforeserve.Com Ltd which has a tie-up with Simtech Computronics Pvt Ltd [service centre of HP] for the extended warranty of more 2 years for 6200/-. I purchased the extended warranty on 17/09/2008. I have the receipt for the same and i have made the cheque payment via cheque no. 060959 dated 17/09/2008 for the sum of rupees 6200/-. According to the extended warranty my laptop's warranty is up to 22/04/2011. And now i am applying for the warranty as there is some defect in the product service centre is refusing to accept the warranty and giving me many useless reasons about the update in computer and so.. i am really fed up of the service as i have visited their office many times.
I'm going to file a case against them in Consumer Forum.
Someone please guide me..
