I had bought an HCL Laptop (Sr. No. 1074AX301676) in August 2007. The package included a 3 year warranty.
SInce then the laptop had problems of Wireless Lan card, Hard disk, PCB set etc etc.
Now the latest problem I faced is on this machine was on 23 November 2009. I had personally taken my laptop to the HCL touch on Mount road in Chennai and a service job card was made for the problem The job sheet No was 3202004254 dtd 23/11/2009, The laptop was inspected and I was informed that the mother board has failed. They do not have stock of the same and will inform me as soon as it arrives. Teh tentative time they told was 2 weeks.
After repeated followups, I was informed that they have a mother board in the chennai centre and asked me to take the laptop to their service centre. I was asked to leave the laptop at the service centre this time and new service report was generated. The service report no. is 7536 dtd 28/01/2010.
Now they say that the mother board they had in the office was not working and they have to wait for the spares to come from their HO. No specific time frame is given so far.
Now it is more than two months since the laptop is in non-working condition and still no positive signs of getting it repaired. Please note that this is still under warranty.
KIndly advice what has to be done in this case.
