    Thumbs up Complaint against manufacturing fault in Acer Laptop Extensa 4620z

    Dear Sir,

    We have purchased three Acer laptops on 25.09.08 through Acer authorised distributor Staples Future Office Products Pvt Ltd, Sector 18, Gurgaon.

    One of these laptops had developed one crack on top cover on the opening joint (hinge joint) for which we contacted at Acer Customer Support vide case ID 103009-347. As the same type of crack had developed on the same location in one of the laptop of make Acer purchased earlier, we had contacted the Acer customer support to report the incidence being of repeated nature and must be a manufacturing fault.

    We were advised by the Acer Customer Support executive to contact the nearest Acer Service Centre at Gurgaon and get the laptop inspected by them. We got the laptop inspected at the service centre and they confirmed that this is a physical damage and not covered under warranty. The service report to this affect is attached.

    The crack is not due to mishandling or negligence and the crack has developed automatically due to operation of opening/closing of top cover and the same has occurred even before completion of one year which suggests that the life of Acer laptop is only one year.

    Here, we would like to explain that we have laptops of Dell and HP also and that to around five years old, no such cracks have developed in those laptops being the same design used in opening/closing of top cover.

    In view of the above, we would like to explain that we are not satisfied with Acer products as well as the services provided by Aer.

    Hi, I am Saravanan Subbiah. I own acer aspire 3620 and bought the same in Bahrain. I faced the same issue, when i enquired most of the people face the same kind of issue with many models of acer laptops. Generally, this crack will start coming from top cover near power button of the laptop. Defenitely its not a mishandling as the same issue has been faced by many acer laptop users. I am still using my laptop with thecrack no other go...

    Exclamation Pc's problem complained 8 (Eight) time with acer but its product not working properly

    Dear Sir,

    I purchased a PC of ACER with Mini CPU on 20-dec-2008, but since my date of purchasing i am having many of problem with it CD/DVD Drive. It has been repairdd 7th of time but still is not working perfectly. i am fed up with it and want not only the CD/DVD Drive but my full CPU to be changed. Because it has become an usual practice that this CD/DVD Drive get out of order regularly and neither the ACER company nor your agent (from where i purchased my PC) are able to solve my problem . Its Employee Mr. Dev Acharya(Delhi) told me many time that i dont know how to use it properly. In this case i Chalanged him that plz use my CPU for only one month in your office/house after that you know its working ya not working. He's not satisfied with my comments. Always he's told me next time of repair it work properly. I listen these word many time of him.

    So tell me what should I do now, should i seek for the help of consumer form ?



    I have made more than 7 complaints and few dates and complain numbers are given below
