This is to report to you the WORST experience that I have faced from HP after sales support.
The issue started in Pune where I had given my laptop for service (Vintech Systems). It needed a DVD ROM replacement and took a very long time to boot. They replaced the DVD ROM and formatted the laptop hoping it would solve the slow boot issue. That changed to the whole situation.
After this service, we keep getting an error "Operating system not found". I informed this to the HP Vintech guys in Pune. They kept my laptop in their service center for 2 weeks and re-formatted. When I got there to take a delivery fo my laptop, I could replicate this issue ("Operating system not found") on the first instance. I do not know what they did for 2 weeks. How can the issue not come up atleast oncein 2 weeks ??????????
Immediately I had to shift to Banagalore and so I could not follow up with them.
I visited Maha Electronics, another HP authorized service center and reported the issue. After 4 days of submitting the laptop, the engineer calls up to ask what the issue is..... this is ridiculous as the entire case hostory is included in the case sheet. We do not get any response from the center when we call them, neither do anybody call and update us. After 3 days, after talking to the Level 3 Escalation point- Mr. Devaraj, they say the laptop is made ready on priority. We go to pick up the laptop, AGAINNNNNNNNNNNN I could replicate this issue ("Operating system not found") on the first instance. They say they have replaced our mother board but that fix our issue. We speak to another manager and he says they will again work on it and get back to us. NOBODY GETS BACK TO US . I dont understand this at all.
Again, we speak to Devraj and he assures that this will be taken on priority and he will get back in 3 days. Like anybody else in the service center, he is USELESS. We call him and he does not answer calls. Finally when he does, he says that the mother board that was replaced was NOT an original one and that they will replace it with an original one now. HOW DO YOU THINK WE CAN BELIEVE ANYTHING HE OR ANYBODY IN MAHA ELECTRONICS SAYS FROM THIS POINT ??
Even after so many calls, follow-ups, checking, re-checking, formatting, re-formatting ...... none is helping fix the issue. On top of this Devraj says it will take a min of 10 days to replace the ORIGINAL MOTHER BOARD. My wife is a consultant and she has to start working from this Thrusday, 12-Nov-2009. If the laptop is not ready on time, we are losing money !!! Who is going to pay us ???? HP or Maha Electronics ???
We are really rueing our decision of going in for an HP laptop. We thought that its a great brand and its after-sales support will live upto its name. ITS NOT TO BE !!!
