Dell's poor manufacturing and poor customer care Dell Mini Laptop - Model No. 1012 (Service Tag No. 8ZKC6BS)
Date of purchase- 17 Oct 10
1. I had purchased my [COLOR=#009900 !important]dell laptop[/COLOR]model Mini 1012 (service tag no 8ZKC6BS) from Delhi on 17 Oct 10, with the following warranty for a period of one year:-
(a) Parts only Warranty, (b) Complete Cover Warranty, (c) Next business on-site, (d) Limited[COLOR=#009900 !important]Telephone[/COLOR] Technical Phone support.
2. In Jun 11(approximately within 8 months), the system developed defect and stopped charging. The[COLOR=#009900 !important]complaint[/COLOR] was lodged through[COLOR=#009900 !important]customer care[/COLOR] on 13 Jun 11, who asked me to fwd the serial no of Adaptor. The same was also sent on13 Jun 11 through my email.
3. In the absence of any response, I called up again on 19 Jun11, then they asked me to fwd a photo of adaptor, I sent the same on same day (19Jun11) through email.
4. In the absence of any response, again I approached them on 07 Jul 11 (Complain No- 837874424), who asked me to forward the photo of adapter
again, I sent the same day (07 Jul 11).
5. In the absence of any response again, I called and sent email as reminder on 08 Jul (Complain no-839629241), again on 10 Jul and 11 Jul 11, 08 Aug 11 (Complain No. 839631595).
6. On 11 Aug 11, the adaptor was replaced but the system was still not charging. The complaint was again lodged on same day (11 Aug 11) through email.
7. On 19 Aug 11, I received an email from Dell that they are not able to reach me and asked some information. The same were furnished on 21 Aug 11 by me.
8. On 06 Sep11, 17 Sep 11 and 21 Sep 11, again I reminded them, (New Complaint no. 842464570). On 21 sep 11, they asked me to forward the previous[COLOR=#009900 !important]correspondence[/COLOR]. I forwarded all the emails on the same day (21 Sep 11).
9. On 30 Nov 11, the adaptor and[COLOR=#009900 !important]motherboard[/COLOR] were replaced again. But the system problem, did not resolve. The same was intimated through email on 30 Nov 11 and a reminders were sent on 04 Dec 11.
10. On 08 Dec 11 received mail from Dell to forward brief of the case. The brief history of the case was forwarded the same day (08 Dec 11).
11. On 12 Dec 11, received mail from Dell, asking for contact information (Complain No. 847400702). The information was furnished the same day by email.
12. In the absence of any further response, again sent a reminder email on 18 Jan 12 and many phone calls. But till date no action has been taken by Dell.
13. Now they are saying as your system is out of warranty. Whereas my complain is existing since Jun11. Its very disappointing to see that the company delivers such a poor manufacturing quality, poor workmanship, that the item did not last even for one year and when asked [COLOR=#009900 !important]for system[/COLOR] replacement they refused to do so inspite of the complete cover warranty.
14. Now, after harassment of one year and depriving me of my assest, I want the company to replace my laptop with a brand new one of similar or better make, restore all warranties/ and other software warranties (like Anti Virus, etc) from the date of replacement o the item and a compensation of Rs 1 lakh for wastage of my time, efforts and the harassment of one year to me.
