My Airtel BB/LL no is 011-47640867.
I had put up a request to shift my Airtel connection to a new address on 8th Sept 2011 and was told that the shifting would be done within 10 days. I called the costomer care a lot of times and was continually told that the feasability had been checked and the work would be done within the given deadline (18th Sept 2011) but unfortunately the deadline came and passed without any work being done. I called them to lodge a complaint and was assured that my request would be acted upon within a day again with no results.
After that I raised the matter with their Nodal and Appelette offices and was again told that the shifting would be done within 48 hours. Still no one bothered to call me and inform me about the progress. Then on the 24th I called up their costomer care no again and was again asuured of the 48 hour period but when I asked the CC rep what happens if the deadline is again missed, i was shocked by the answer I got, she said "You can do whatever you want". Agitated by this reply I asked to speak to the supervisor/team leader and was connected to one Mr Anil Saini who said he was the Team Leader. I told him about my problem and asked him if he could assure me of the new deadline but he said he could not do that and the 48 hour period was just a time frame given by which the Backend team would reply and it was not the deadline for the connection to be done. I was shocked again and told him that I had been lied to by the CC rep and all others and to this he said that the costomer need not be informed of the actual reality and started saying the there was no point getting into an argument with him (when I had not even raised my voice!). I asked him to speak to me properly but he continued to be rude. I was so fed up by the pathetic response I was getting that I asked him to cancel my connection immediately but he informed me that the cancellation takes 7 days and I would be contacted by the cancellation department.
Then on the 26th Sept 2011 I got a call from one Ms Divya who said that she was from the cancellation team. She requested me not to cancel my connection and told me that the work would be done positively by 28th Septemeber 2011. Today was 28th and still nobody came to my address to do the wiring/connection or even bothered to call me.
That is not all, I made a mistake of making an advanced payment to Airtel. So basically they owe me but have still charged me the for the entire billing cycle (23 to 22 of every month) when I had not been using the connection since the 8th of Sep 2011. When I asked Mr Anil Saini to refund the amount he told me that wont be done as it is not a deposit amount!!
I feel so harrased by Airtel that Im seriouly considering suing them for this mental agony, false assurance, charging for services not provided and and also for threatening not to release the amount they owe me.
If anybody from Airtel is reading this I hope you get your act together and make sure my connection is done by 30 September 2011 by 1500 hours failing which you should cancel my connection and give me a full refund of the amount you owe me including the amount I have been charged when I was not using Airtel's services . If this is not done I would be forced to take legal action.
