Default Touchtel ( Airtel ) Billing Issue

    Hi,
Need some help as Airtel people have started harassing me and my family on Non-payment of modem(DSL ) whereas the bill have been paid at the time of delivery. History is as follows-
My Touchtel No is 0124 - 5035337 ( Gurgaon, HR ) I had applied for the DSL Combo and had requested the touchtel people that I would buy the Modem instead of paying the Monthly Rental of Rs 99.00. Unfortunately , The Touchtel people lost the cheque of Rs 3000.00 ( Cost of Modem ) deposited at their counter and the Billing started including the Monthly Rental. On enquiring about the same in July, they admitted that it was due their fault and would rectify
the same. But the same story kept on repeating till August end. Finally ,I had to visit one of the counters of Airtel ( Old Delhi Road ) and spent 4 hours to get things cleared. Upon checking the entire issue, it was found out that they had lost the cheque and I had to issue another cheque on 11th Sept 2004 ( Receipt No – GT 7910 , Chq no 194769 drawn on SBI, Gurgaon). But unfortunately their September billing again had the same story of including Monthly Rental. Also, this time the bill started reflecting that I needed to pay Modem Charges. On 12th October, I went again and cleared the confusion relatd to the billing and a fresh receipt was issued to me.
On 22nd October, I received a call from Touchtel people that I have not cleared the bills and should immediately do so. On 24th October, I received a call that they have received my payment for the Modem and all issues are cleared in respect of that. On 26th October, again I received a call from Touchtel people that I have not cleared the bills and should immediately do so. On 27th October, Two touchtel employees were sent down to my residence and took all the details. Their behaviour was so rude and was depicting as if they have come down to collect money and harass my family up. On showing the complete details they agreed to the fact that it was a Touchtel's Fault and would rectify the same and promised that we would not receive any
more calls from Touchtel people. But on 29th October, again I received a call from Touchtel people that I have not cleared the bills and should immediately do so. On 30th October , again I received the same call.
After that I lodged a complaint at Touchtel Call Center against Touchtel Employee for mental harassment ( Complaint No GC 10168631 ) On 1st November, I received the call that all bills
are settled and would not receive any call further on this issue. On 2nd November, again I receive a call from Ms Manisha ( touchtel Employee ) that I need to clear my dues ( Now pending amount was Rs 1100.00 and was told to pay immediately). I spoke to the Floor Manager Mr Vikrant about the whole issue and he promised me about that I would not be further disturbed on this issue. My concern here is if Airtel cannot provide problem free services to customer satifaction, atleast do not haraass the customer & his family for all the dues which we have paid.
My father is a Defense Personnel ( Col in the army ) and to be on time is a gift which I have inherited from him. As we constantly follow the policy to clear things ( such as bills or issues ) on time, we still are being shouted upon by Touchtel Employees for clearance of bills.
I request you all to please help me on this issue.
    with profound regards

    Default Airtel GPRS Issue

I was using GPRS service from my iPhone and later wanted to stop it. I couldn't do it using their menu based system. I kept trying for weeks and nothing was happening. Every time I would call 121 they would promise me it will be done within 48/72 hrs and it never did. Their support staff is a bunch of illiterate fools. Technically, they have no knowledge and are like parrots who would repeat what has been taught to them. You ask a question which is out of their line and they cannot revert. They have no technical knowledge about iPhone and hence, they would ask me to remove the SIM or switch of the phone etc etc.

Finally, someone with enough brains in him deactivated the service from the backend (which I have been requesting for the whole month). Also, I was promised a refund for the number of days this has been going on. The refund never happened. Upon query, I was informed that the money has been credited into my account but they have no proof which can show that indeed the money was refunded.

Sincerely, I feel they tend to cheat people whenever they can. I hate to say it but service providers in this country are a bunch of thugs and Airtel is one of the biggest.

Service request number 0104381227 given to me by Ms. Sandhna Sekar B. My ticket no. is 322803 issued by Mr. Manjit Singh.

The Following are the trail mails... if anyone is interested in reading them.

    Hi
I am still waiting for a resolution. Till now I have been getting calls from Airtel executives informing me that the needful will be done within such and such days. The GPRS service has stopped. However I am still getting billed Rs. 20 everyday for the service. Also I was informed that the money will be refunded but till now nothing has happened.

I need this to be rectified as soon as possible. My ticket no. is 322803. Have spoken to Mr. Manjit Singh who actually understood the problem and the GPRS service stopped. A few days later I spoke to Ms.
Ruchi and she assured me that my money which has been deducted wrongly will be credited into my account but till now nothing has happened.

    Subject: Deactivation of GPRS service

    Hi
    My telephone Number is 9717352128

Since last 2 weeks I am trying to deactivate the GPRS service I am
using on this Number. I am using Apple iPhone 3G. I have tried
    deactivating the service by using 567# -- Send 4 -- Send 1. However I
do not get any confirmation. I have tried speaking to the support but
no one is able to solve the problem. On 29th December 2009 someone
from support promised that the service will be deactivated within 48
hrs but till now nothing has happened. The executive even left a note
to waive off the Rs. 20 charge per day as I am not interested in the
service. I have called numerous times and all the support numbers
provided but till now the problem has not been resolved.

I wish this service to be deactivated ASAP

    Best regards

    Asad J. Ansari
