We have landline connection from MTNL number 27820255 in Vashi. The cable from our phone goes to a place, where MTNL brings in their multicore cable. My landline as well as others in the area are connected to the MTNL wires like temporary connection by simply twisting wires, all hanging precariously, easily broken very often even by wind.

We made a complaint to MTNL, who just did not do anything, but called, to know if at a particular time, the phone worked. Yes it did work through a broken, but juxtaposed wires. No one from MTNL ever came to repair the broken wire, nor did anything about providing junction box, but closed the online complaint No. 70427 submitted on 15 Oct.2009.

I believe that a customer paying regular monthly rental for connection, and other charges, has a right to get healthy line connection, which will not go off often, due to disturbances to the temporary connections.
