Default Airtel-Error in Billing-Complaint Registered-No Resolution even after 25 Days

    Dear Sir,

Bill No. 529298052 for account number 16289315 shows that I have used internet on 7th & 8th of May, 2011
and 9th of Jul, 2011 for which I have been charged with Rs. 14,850.88.

As per my Bill Plan, applicable to the aforesaid bill, the Internet usage charge should be Rs. 22 per hour maximum. The same has been ascertained from Airtel's customer care representative through repeated inquiry before using Internet. It is also to mention here that the Plan detail in the referred bill itself shows that my Plan is time based and the rates are Peak Rate 6.6/Hr & Off Peak Rate 22/Hr

For the sake of simplification, had I been used the DSL Service round the clock during those three days (i.e. 07-May-11, 08-May-11 and 09-Jul-11 as reflecting in the aforesaid bill) and had it been Off Peak Hours during all the days, then also the DSL Charge should be about 24 X 3 X 22 = Rs. 1584 at the most. However this is not the fact. As I have not used the internet round the clock during those three days. So, charging Rs. 14,850.88 for DSL service for 3 days is incorrect and unjust.

A complaint (Service Request No. 1948974) in this regard has been registered 25 days back. But no resolution has been given till date. I have contacted Airtel customer care several times and every time they were saying that my request is open and will give provide me the resolution as soon as possible.

    Thanks & Regards,
