AIRTEL - Pathetic service from Airtel for shifting of land line phone Hi,
I am a subscriber of Airtel's fixed line service and had requested for a shifting of the land line from my previous address "J-2/28, Ground Floor, DLF City, Phase 2, Gurgaon, Haryana" to my new address "Emilia 3, 13/2, Gardenia Street, Vatika City, Sohna Road, Gurgaon, Haryana" as per service request 1673902, raised on 2nd August 2011.
However, without any response at all, Airtel closed the service request on 17th August 2011 and sent an SMS to my phone 9818354881 regarding the same. Since my shifting request was NOT completed, I called and inquired with Airtel Customer Service (4444121) about this request closure. I was told that it is not possible to shift to the new destination since the service is not available in that area !! It's quite ridiculous to think that a colony which already has several hundred Airtel fixed line connections in the houses, including my neighbors' house, does not have Airtel service in the area. When I complained about this fact, I was told that a senior team lead would call me within 2 hours, but no such call has come till today. I again called the next day and the response given was that due to "an error in the database update", my request was closed. I cannot imagine what database update error caused this, but since I cannot handle new excuses from Airtel everyday, I have raised another request with the request number 2985316 on 27.08.2011.
But true to its nature, there has been no response so far from Airtel. To further add insult to injury, I am being billed my monthly rental for my connection (Rs. 1399 per month plus taxes) for a service which I cannot use due to Airtel's pathetic response times. I can't understand how Airtel can charge monthly rental when the phone line is in the process of being shifted, a process which I have come to understand can take a few months !!!
I am requesting your assistance in the said matter to resolve this issue at the earliest. I'm available at the contact details below for any clarifications. Thank you.

Regrading Bill Payment I have taken your I.P Centrex 8 line plan of 4000 Rs rental, At the time of
installation I paid Rs 4000 advance rental via PSB Cheque No : 425389 which I
was suppose to get refunded from my first or successive bills ( Which never
happened).. The line is activated since 28 June 11.
I have received first invoice for this account on 29 July 11 of Amt - Rs.
1617.68. Where I have not been given any credit back of my advance 4000 Rs
Rental. After Relieving the invoice I kept calling your billing dept and none
of your advisor could help me out , Initially they all kept saying that your
systems were down !
Today I have received another bill for dated 21 Aug 11 of Amt 6129.68 Rs. This
bill again does not have any deduction of Rs 4000, further I am being charged
with Late Payment Fees of Rs 100 for my previous bill which is already in
dispute
.
Today when I called on 121 CS Billing twice and both the time your Advisor just
kept me on hold for minutes and then they disconnected the line. Below are the
details of advisor I have spoken With since line inception.
Before 10th Aug I Rang you couple of times but I never made a note of calls
10 Aug - Jyoti ( I didnt ask for her last name and she was absolutely helpless
though she agreed for call back which I never received.
18 Aug - Parul Jha: She told me that the systems are down since last week and
they won¿t be able to assist me with anything for another couple of days.
27Aug - Dheerendra Singh : He kept on listening the whole case for entire 5 min
and then he told me that I should speak to the billing people as he is from
`VOICE¿ ( why didn¿t he told me on first instance then ) and he would transfer
me to billing dept and I was kept on hold for 2-3 mins and then they
disconnected the line without informing me anything.
27 Aug - I called up again and spoke to Deepak Pandey, told him about my
complaint and complete case , he sounded absolutely clueless and I then asked
him to transfer the call to a supervisor , He too put me on hold and
disconnected the line.
I have been with Airtel since long time and now I ALWZ FEEL REGRET OF OPTING
FOR AIRTELL ONLY BECAUSE OF YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND BILLING DEFAULTS. I want
somebody to look into my case and need a call back ASAP from somebody who has a
knowledge and authority to take decision and can help me with my billing on a
single call . I cannot afford to be on a call with your advisors again for
hours without any solution.

Before opting for above IP Centrex service, I took a connection for 2 lines ,
CEF No 2758462 by your sales executive ( Om Prakash). Since I was offered
above Centrex service within a week I cancelled this a option and went for 8
lines. I paid 1000Rs for this line which has never been refunded to me. Can you
please arrange for this refund aswell.
