    Default Fed up with Airtel (Landline shifting delay)

    I had applied for shifting my land line on the 2nd of August for my telephone number 080- 40942160. Airtel first told me that it can take a maximum of 22 calender days to shift it but would be done within 15 days (Complaint No- 1660062). At the end of the 22nd day no one showed up or called. On calling customer care they said that someone will show up by 7.10 that same evening, but again no one showed up. On calling customer care again they told me that they are undergoing some internal up gradation and would need another 7 days( Complaint No- 2691091). At the end of the 7th day again no one showed up. On calling customer care again they told me that they cant give me a date or an email address to complain to except 121@airtel.in. I had emailed them 8 days back and nothing has happened about my phone. This is nothing short of harassment. I would not have shifted my residence if I had they had clearly sted how much time this phone shifting will state. I have been living in my new place now for almost a month without phone or internet.
    Whenever I call customer care asking to escalate the matter, the highest level of escalation available to me is to send an email to 121@airtel.in.
    The last time I spoke to airtel customer care, I have also asked them to give me a date in writing but they have refused to do so. Finally I was given the number of a 'nodal officer'. I was put on hold for a long time and the line finally got cut.
    I think that there seems to be no way to penalize this company for their inefficiency and callous attitude towards its customers. They refuse to give anything in writing so that nobody can take action. I feel totally helpless at this point.
