I am from Noida and applied for a Landline cum broadband connection from AIRTEL by giving cash of Rs 500. But due to non availability of lines in my area the Airtel people told me that the connection could not be installed due to this reason. The Airtel sales executive assured me that the installation Rs 500 would be refunded to me as early as possible. But still the amount Rs 500 is not refunded.
I also called so many times on the Airtel customer care 121. They always assure me about refunding money and they always gave me a new reference number. Now every time when I call on the customer care to check the status to refund my money, Airtel customer care executives always told me that the case is under process and it will not take more then next 10 days.
After calling so many times on the Airtel customer care 121 after that I came to know about the Airtel Nodal office. I called him on 15th Nov08 and spoke to Mr. Anoop, I told him all the story and he also assured me that the your amount will be refunded in next 10 days. But after 15 days I received a call from Airtel and they told me that refund will take another 7 working days for the cheque to come. After the promiced time I again called the Airtel Nodel office and spoke him again regarding refund he told me to fax or email a copy of the cash receipt I did the same.
I am extremely disappointed about the services that such a reputed company like Airtel is not as prompt in refunding the money as it is in taking. When our bill payments are delayed even for a single day we get 100 of calls but when it comes to refunding our hard earned money there is no sense of responsibility or ethics!
