Dear Sir

I had applied for a disconnection of my residential telephone as we were
vacating our rented house. The famous telecom company didnot disconnect the
phone even after 15 days. The phone was misused and STD calls were made
resulting in heavy amount . Now the telecom company wants me to foot the bill.

Why should I pay for the phone calls made by others from my telephone even after
I had applied for the disconnection on immediate basis?

If we are late in payment of bills they are on our head night & day & disconnect
immediaetly on non- payment whereas if we voulantrily wants to disconnect the
phone they take more than 15 days. The company says they freeze the monthly rent
on date of application of disconnection but phone is active for one month.

What should I do? Shall I pay up or fight the case in consumer forum.

1. Did you inform them that you will be vacating the house and for that reson
you are applying for disconnection.

2. Do you have a receipt for the letter informing them of the above. if so then
do not pay the bill and write to them, drawing their attntion to the facts

3. If they still insist on your paying the bill, drag them to consumer court
