    Angry Tata Indicom cheating people

    Sir, I have a Landline connection in the name of Ajit Kumar Mahapatra. Telephone Number : 0674-6532213. The number belongs to Bhubaneswar in the state of Orissa.

    My problem is I do not stay at my residence all the time, so I requested Tata Teleservices to come and collect the payment from my office through cheque or by cash. The customer care executive spoke to me and confirmed that an agent would come & collect the payment soon. But to no avail, no body responded until the due date passed away. And the company smartly charged late fee. When I complained regarding this they politely said the policy of the company has changed, they would send the collection agent only after the due date and I must pay the late charges.

    I think this is totally a cheating ploy by the company to unnecessarily collect money in this style. I strongly regret on this and request the authorities concerned to take action immediately.

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    I had sent a requisition to Tata Indicom for transferring my landline (022-67989497, Account Number: 600008836) and broadband connection (Account Number: 605360229) on May 15th 2009. I got a reply after 3 weeks that both the connections could not be transferred due to some problems with the society. Hence i called up the tele-marketing executives to disconnect (Ref no. 187979909) both the landline and internet connection since i had paid the June bill already.
    Now Tata Indicom claims that i need to pay the rent charges despite the fact there are no usage done from my end. Me and my family are getting calls from Tata Indicom almost everyday. They did not even care if i was busy or at a funeral. One executive went to the extent of saying that she does not care if i am at a family funeral. This was very disappointing and unruly from a reputed organisation.
    To add to the misery further, Tata Indicom has sent me 2 letters. One mentioned that they are offering me a discount of 40% for the pending bill amount. The second was a shocking legal notice from their Advocate forcing me to pay the amount or else face a legal consequence. On this i called up Tata Indicom and spoke to Mr Ahuliwalia who gave a patient time to me and apologised for the misbehaviour of the executive, but is adamant to make me pay up the bill amount which i never used at all.

    Please look into this matter and help.

    After a month's gap i get a letter from Tata Indicom's advocates to pay up Rs 657/- and close the account. This is now getting so frustrating and demeaning. Please someone advice on this asap.
