Mrs Vani of Kudmaru had Yashaswini from Kudmaru Milk Producers Co-Op Society. She went for confinement and delivery of the baby at Chethana Hospital, Puttur. She had a smooth and unremarkable normal delivery and had to pay Rs.4500/= to the hospital. She was denied any benefit under Yashaswini for reasons best known to the hospital and implementing agency. Worried by the developments, she approached Sri Sanjay D., Advocate, Puttur for a solution to this menace. Mr. Sanjay issued notices to Yashaswini and implementing agency and society. The latter duo chose to remain exparte despite of notice by the Lawyer and Court Notices served on them. Yashaswini came on record and narrated what is a blatant lie – Chethana Hospital is not a listed Hospital. When everyone knew very well that Chethana Hospital was indeed listed, Yashaswini kept on barking that it wasn’t. Court got the clue and granted the Complainant the full amount from Yashaswini and interest thereon from discharge till compliance of the order. Go through the entire text of judgment
