Mrs. Saramma had to undergo hysterectomy for fibroid uterus. She had Yashaswini Insurance from the Government of Karnataka. She belonged to Keyyoor Madavu Agricultural Co-Operative Society. She inquired with the Society and got herself admitted at Chethana hospital Puttur. A pre authorisation was sent. But FHPL rejected her claim stating that she had not come of age for undergoing hysterectomy. She had to pay her bill herself and went after Yashaswini, Hospital and FHPL and Society. District Forum of Mangalore allowed part of the claim along with interest
