Post HDFC ATM don't deliver cash but get deducted from account.

Hi, My name is G. Kailash Babu. I have a Karur Vysya Bank ATM card. My a/c no. is 1467166000000969. On 10th June, I went to a HDFC ATM in Ramnagar, Hyderabad to withdraw money. I insert card and entered withdrawal amount as 8100/-. After a minute is displayed as Transaction Timed Out and my transaction was completed. I took my card and went to ICICI ATM just beside that, and surprisingly the amount got deducted. Immediately I also received and SMS that 8100/- were deducted from my a/c. I again went to HDFC ATM and to test it once again, I entered 100/- as withdrawal amount and again same happened. I lost that 100/- also. And then when I observed the machine carefully I found that the outlet from which we collect money was sealed with a metal. So there is no chance for me to collect money, so how can a machine run with a sealed money outlet. And how can the machine kept run and ATM kept opened when it is sealed. Atleast they could have help Under Service board. Please if someone reads this, please help me get my amount back to my account with interest. I lost 8200/- in HDFC ATM. These HDFC ATMs are the worst I have seen as this never happened to me. If they don't credit back the amount, I will sue them for any amount. I worked hard for many nights to earn that amount, please understand my worth and credit back my amount.

    Dear Mr Babu,

We request you to follow the below procedure for claiming your funds:

Submit a complaint /dispute letter with the issuing bank [ i.e Karur Vysya Bank] branch where you hold the savings bank account.

The issuing Bank will then raise a charge back dispute on HDFC BANK seeking the disputed transaction status.

If the transaction stands invalid as per your claim, the funds will be returned to the issuing bank, which would be credited to your account by your respective bank.

    Regards, Customer Assistance, HDFC Bank
