I was chased by ICICI in getting a credit card with promises of balance transfer
I transferred a balance of Rs. 40, 000 to this cc card because of the interest rates
offered not aware that the bank had other ways of fleecing money out of me.
In the last 3 years I have made payment to the tune of 57,000 ie over 40 % over and above what I borrowd and yet the bank states I owe them another 18000.
It is a vicious cycle, they never make statements available or update address in their
records. The collection agents do not tell you total due only make you pay the o/s so that they can further apply fees on the o/s.

I am sick and tired of their collection agents calling me and my parents who are old and
ailing and making demands on a debt which is no longer owed Plain harrasment to skin people so that they continue to make money. these credit card cos. are worse than the landlords of yore. Pls help

also i a question that baffle me do the RBI have no norms to ensure that senior citizens are
not harrassed for contract entered by their kids with the bank. I dont understand why do they call my parents a
and talk about my debt to them when they have nothing to do with it and inspite of my instruction to
deal with me directly about the debt they still call my parents ??
I hope this forum will help me, I cant have my parents harrassed like this for a debt i dont owe

1. i have the honor to state that i have illegal transaction on 27/12/08 from hondo.com a company of job search engine from icici credit card. i have faxed a complaint letter on 30/12/08 to number 022-66466683 and had got a fax completion report for the same along with the bill of telephone booth. the credit card department claimed that i have not lodge the complaint within 90 days .

2. Till 08 jun 10 the was 24 mails written by me for asking for the investigation for which i got few replies.

A debit of Rs 5003.15 on 08/06/10 was made my icici savings account 000401557892 as recovery for outstanding amount after which i have submitted all the documents and proof for the illegal transaction and fax details to collection department andheri(E) to collection manager vrishali of J B Nagar Andheri (east) Mumbai and got the letter endorsed/signed as an aknowledgement . she told me to write e-mail to HSQA department and lean department.

3. i have written a mail to HSQA and lean department on 22/06/10
for which i dint get any reply.

4. On 07/08/10 there was another debit 0f Rs 7101.73 from my acc.

5. i wrote another letter 242/vp dated 08 sep 10 asking the reasons for the recovery to collection manager Mrs Vrishali Jamsandekar of J B Nagar Andheri (east) Mumbai. She dint accept the letter by hand and has told me that this time she will not endorse the letter. she further told me to send the letter by register post.

6.Mrs Vrishali Jamsandekar of J B Nagar Andheri (east) Mumbai had made me speak to HSQA department to a lady and had not taken any action on my both letters of mine.CLAIMING ISSUE CLOSED 25/03/10 and the issue is in banks favour. she denied to given the number of HSQA department executive.

7. i asked the collection department of icici bank Mrs Vrishali Jamsandekar. of J B Nagar Andheri (east) Mumbai she says that it is against the bank norms to accept letter by hand instead she says that it is only the registered letter accepted by the bank and details of investigation carried out by the bank cannot be given to the customer

8. My query is why the letters are not accepted by icici bank by hand as quoted by collection manager miss Vrishali Jamsandekar.

9. Why is the investigation details denied to the customer and presumed it is banks favor calling the case closed ?

10. i have also lodged the complaint to ICICI bank complaint escalation but yet waiting for reply.

11. i being the serving NAVAL OFFICER OF INDIAN NAVY have acc in icici bank for 07 years and a gold debit card . I would request you solve my issue and shouldn't make me running between departments.
