Please find the details of the bad incident that happened during TCR- Bangalore trip in SONA travels AC bus and request you to take necessary actions for the same.

I have booked two tickets in SONA travels VOLVO AC bus for the date 18-July-2010.We had a very bad experience as when we entered the bus by around 11 PM our seats were given to another person and we got their seats which was fully wet as the bus was leaking from the top in that area.The bus started from Ernakulam (Kochin) and it reached our boarding point by night 11 PM so that we were not in a position to take a decision to cancel the travel as it was late night.When we complained about this they asked to adjust and later they told they will refund .Once we reached ,we directly went to SONA travels office at MADIWALA for reporting the same.There was an informal communication happened with the madiwala office people (Jose,Shino) and the Head office people(Riyaz,Jijo @ kerala,Aluva) and we got poor response from few of them.After 1 week ,today they have told maximum they can refund an amount of RS 200/- per seat(Per seat it was 900 RS/- while booking) as we completed the journey.
When there is a 100 percent cancellation charge ,without communicating the problems when we were forced to make the travel due to the situation, we think this is not an enough compensation.

The reason of writing this complaint is ,we really could have cancelled the journey if we were informed about the situation before 10 PM in night.As the bus started form Ernakulam and they came to know about this leakage before ,on behalf of humanity the driver/conductor could have informed the office personals and they could have informed the customers about the situation.Many people were having the same problem and it may be only us who is bringing this issue in front of you people as we don't wish this should happen with anyone else in future.

We did adjust at that point of time even though our seats where not leaking was only because one foreign Lady was sitting at our place and as Indians we should and we did respect our guest.Even this was questioned during the talk with sona travels persons.After all we made this immediate journey as we had no leaves in our offices and unfortunately because of the raining bus we had health problems(cold) and have had to take leaves.

I request you to look into this issue with great concern and hope you will take necessary actions.Its not only the money loss and the health problems that matters ,its also the matter of trust and responsibility of each and everyone present in this field of service.
