I am Mohamed Rafi. I have spoken with the credit card collection agency and got the settlement letter dated 07-Aug-2009 and reference number 200908011849850.

I told them that I will pay the amount on the settlement letter immediately but they asked 3 cheques for payment and I handed over the cheque to them.

I also paid Rs.1500 on 19-08-2009 and Rs.500 on 17-12-2009.

They promised me that my credit card account is closed and I won't receive any phone calls or collection agents at my door step. But that did not happen.

They did not produce the cheque to the bank on the due date which I have no responsibility.

Then the collection agents started coming and after showing all the documents, everyone asked me to talk to their manager and after speaking to them they said "we will not come and we will solve your problem and your card will be closed".

But repeatedly they started to come and everyone did the same. Me or my wife will be at home to receive them. Also since I was on business my wife gave her number.

She talked to the credit card recovery person Nithya, Phone no:9176622217, T.Nagar, Chennai. She agreed that the mistake was on their part but told me she can't help me.

I received a letter from the lawyer stating demand notice dated June 8,2010 that I have to pay a sum of Rs.65258.84/.

It also said that I am cheating the bank and I am not responding which is not true.

My child was suffering from severe kidney problem and my wife is ill and because of worst service rendered by collection agents and the Demand notice my family is really tensed and totally harrased and I NEED A REAL SOLUTION and spare me from extra charges. No one is ready to give a solution.
