don't want to be a sorry figure later. Please tell me what I am
doing is right?
I have a serious complaint with HDFC Securities for their assurances to
the customers and not providing with the guaranteed basic services.
I am a member of HDFC Securities trading account and they have been very
rude in their behavior.
HDFC Securities has provided with 2 methods for trading:
4 telephone numbers and an online account to trade yourself.
1. Telephone Numbers: (which are never reachable)
91-22-66514300 / 28206366 / 66581700 / 3901 9400
2. Online Trading Account (which freezes while doing all
operations)
Neither the online account nor the phone numbers are reachable during
trading hours which is the time where every second counts. With online
account the browser freezes and it takes a lot of time to successfully
enter a trading order, if you want to see live prices also the browser
freezes and after some time a message appears that your session has been
invalidated login again. I have got tired of login in and logging out 20
times during a day. Alternatively, trading by phone I have experienced
that always I get a busy tone. This has caused me great losses because
of not being able to contact them in time.
If they are charging for their services and are not able to provide
service then they must make a full refund for being unable to serve as
was assured to me.
I was surprised when I decided that I will write a complaint to find
that they have been ignorant here as well. Of all the complaints I have
sent to them on customercare@...
<mailto:customercare@...> from they have never
replied to any of them and showed complete ignorance.
Are they thinking that by ignoring a customer who has decided to make it
heard they can simply get away by not replying and ignoring the whole
issue?
They can certainly not get away with this. I have also tried their
customer care telephone number 022 28346600 / 28346688, I would call 100
times in a day but would never be reachable, once when it was reachable
the security picks the phone and tells that the working hours are over
now call back tomorrow.
After all of this I decided not to spare them, so I found out the email
ids of their managers above and emailed them, namely, Vishal
Suvarna(Senior Manager) & Renu Bhatt(AVP). So I mailed them the entire
customer care episode along with the forwarded complaint which I was not
replied to, thinking that some action would be taken now. To my surprise
I found that even the managers are ignoring my complaint and I am just
not heard by anybody in entire HDFC Securities.
Then, I personally went to the specified address on website and met
Vishal Suvarna. Another surprise came to me when Vishal Suvarna (Senior
Manager) told me that he has not received any email and doesn't know
anything about all this. So, now I have found out their MD Mr. Sunil
Shah's email id and will contact him with my case.
The whole point is that we consumers are unable to reach the top level
and 90% of our complaints are always solved by this back office of huge
companies. Of which nobody in the company knows whether the complaint
was solved successfully, was the customer satisfied, no one cares.
Please suggest what should I be doing in this frustration, I don't
want to be a sorry figure later. Please tell me what I am doing is
right?

I want to trade with 50,00,000/- lacs and I doubt if I am able to do so
with your kind of service. I am very unsatisfied with the service
offered by you. And even if you say anything to support it, I would not
recommend anyone to use your ebroking at all.
My complain is that whenever I have tried to do a trading for which you
have charged me Rs.700/- annually.
You charge me even if there is no transaction for a year or when there
are abundant transactions during a year amounting more than
Rs.1,00,000/-.
In return I am never able to contact the broker number you have
specified and i have used all the numbers to contact that you have
displayed.(66514300, 66581700, 28206366, 390-----) None of these numbers
are contactable on a regular trading day.
Other option of trading on the net is also not possible though it is the
only mode of transacting for me because at least sometimes it works and
I am able to do some trading. But the service offered is also very lousy
if you ask me personally, during a regular trading day when you want to
quickly do a trade it hangs & asks for a re login, I know that the login
session is Invalidated after several minutes but that is not the case
here. I have also seen that many a times to display a simple Order book
hangs my internet explorer and I have to re-Login. Don't know in a day I
have to login at least a 10 times. Live Quotes do not refresh and I have
to re-Login for that too.
Password changing policy is good enough but only when it allows to
change the password quickly & efficiently. Once I was changing the
password to a new one it just did not accept no matter how many
combinations I tried. And that was when the markets had just started, I
had to waste 15 mins just fighting the password dilemma. I know the
password rules and the combination of characters to be used as displayed
on the screen.
I have had similar problems with your HDFC NetBanking too.
Now you may please tell me that should I continue using this service or
should I shift to another provider like ICICI Direct or Sharekhan which
are so easy to handle & efficient during market timings and they also
have so many schemes, at least they give you your moneys worth.
My asking for a refund will definitely not work here because all you
guys believe in is introducing policies to make money with no policies
which support customer satisfaction & customer base growth. So I rather
not even ask for it and feel insulted.

i donno how this people run a company....

Unauthorised debit for SMS Services Dear Sir,
I found that, there was a debit of Rs 999 from my HDFC securities account. After writing to helpdesk since last 2 weeks, I am getting very cold reply. Today they sent reply by stating that they got verified about this SMS service opted by me. Surprisingly I never trade based on any SMS services. And their reply is saying that they verified recordning!!! That means, they just take some words from marketing call and activate the service??? if this is the case, is it fair?.. alternatively, I requested them repeatedly, not to call on my mobile for marketing calls, or availing any services.... a good example is once I received a call that if I trade during Sept-OCt, I shall get a gift ( Travel bag-Suitcase). To check it I tradede during that period, but till date I have to write them emails claiming for my gift..!!
Th bottom line, I am feeling insecured when you end up in having no solution. A common man ususally does not prefer to visit, complain, go to banking ambudsman..etc. And these banking org take benefit of that... what to do in such case? I need my Rs 999 back, which HDFC sec is refusing to give..or credit back....

No help with the account/customer support
I have been trying to get my email updated in ISA account of HDFC netbanking(Mutual funds option).
The account feature allows me to purchase redeem and switch mutual funds and everything. But if i want a report of my folio number and the proof i need a an email statement.
I can see the money is invested and amount invested but no folio number.
When i go to customer support they dont know what an ISA account is and tell me goto
1. HDFC MUTUAL funds and they can help you update the email id.
when i go to hdfc mutual fund they tell me they can only help if i have prchased HDFC mutual fund only!!!!
2. Tried going to the service provider which i have brought(Fidelity)
when i go to fidelity they tell me they cannot help me as the purchase was done via channel investor and i need to go back HDFC.
The details like email and the pan should be picked up from the netbanking site and should goto hdfc and update there
3. i went to closest bank they tell me we have no access to ISA accounts here(in mangalre)
4. have tried camsonline site which will send statements if the email id is registered in the fund that i have purchased
Can some tell me how i can update my email id in the ISA account.
This is such a pathetic service.I can purchase or sell anything but i cannot get a proof that i have
not getting any responce to update my mobile number Hi,

I want to close my ISA account in HDFC Hi
i want to close my ISA account with HDFC. They started taking quaterly charge for the HDFC Account. I want to close it.
I have some tax saving MF in this account. can i close this account?

Incase you still wish to close your account held with HDFC Bank, please submit the account closure form (available on our website) at the branch where the account is maintained. This application must be signed by all Joint Holders in the same order of names as appearing on the account to be closed. In case the account is in debit balance, please fund the account to the extent of the dues together with interest, before submission of application for closure.
In case the account is dormant, please submit a letter at the branch for activation of your account. Your account closure request can be processed only post activation of your account.
For security and authentication purposes, we regret that we are unable to process the request for account closure received through PhoneBanking, NetBanking, e-mail, scanned or faxed copy. In case you are unable to visit the branch, you can send the account closure application to the branch by postal service or courier.
We also request you to destroy or surrender the cheque book and Debit Card at the time of account closure. If your account is linked to any other product such as credit card/ online Mutual Fund etc, we request you to close / de-link that account prior to submitting your closure instructions.

ISA account charges HDFC has started to charge me for ISA service, which i came to know recently only,
For last three quarters I have paid them some 750 Rs unknowingly.
I mailed HDFC customer service, they told me that since Jan 2010, rules have changes and accordingly they are deducting quarterly charge for this service.
HDFC: Do not make a mistake that ICICI did, playing around with customers. See what happened to them afterwards.
You should have asked every subscriber of that service to read, agree and click on a web button to agree to pay this amount for this particular service.
I am not against the charges but the practice that is prevailing.
I had paid for something that I had not user for over 2 years.

ISA Account Hello,
I have recently moved back to India from US. When in US, I had a NRE account with HDFC which was linked to an ISA account. I made multiple MF purchases via NRE account and I have ongoing SIPs via the same account.
After moving back, HDFC bank is asking me close my NRE account and get a new resident account but the jokers their have no idea what I should do about my ISA account.
Some of the jokers suggest that I have to re-link my ISA account to resident account. Others tells me that I have to get new ISA account linked to resident account and transfer MF units from old to new account. Biggest joker told me that I have to redeem all units.
Does anyone know what I can do in this situation? Please help if you have been in this situation.
