Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf and his Kyrgyz counterpart Askar Akaev held talks here Monday and agreed to expand bilateral trade and economic cooperation, Xinhua reports.
Besides bilateral relations, the two leaders discussed regional and international issues of common interest including promotion of regional trade, the situation in Afghanistan and Iraq, and the ongoing Pakistan-Indo dialogue process, Xinhua quoted the Associated Press of Pakistan as saying.
The two sides will sign a number of agreements during Akaev's visit at the invitation of Musharraf.
Akaev arrived in Islamabad earlier Monday on a two-day visit.
