Myself Jitendra Ramesh Raul I had invested in the Plan Raj Lakshmi Unit Plan (II) RUP (II)(clauseXI) a scheme of Unit Trust Of India in the year 1995 from Borivali,Mumbai. And UTI had alloted 1000 units on the name of my daughter Ankita Jitendra Raul. The date of maturity was 25th Sept 2011.

So my plan has Matured.My member ship no. is 113960070000819.As it has matured, I want to claim it..

Please help me in this matter. How can I get it as soon as possible.please guide me.I need it for my daughter's future Education.

This is to bring to your notice, complain regarding callous attitude of Unit Trust of India.
I had invested Rs. 2,50,000/- in UTI Mutual Fund Infrastructure Fund Series II on 23rd Jan, 2008, Folio No. 509209088326 till April, 2012. I did not receive any communication, Annual Statements from UTI office in violation of SEBI guidelines. After repeated phone calls in the last week of March, 2012, I received a Statement mentioning I lost Rs. 37,000/- due to merger of the original fund with a new one on 14th Jan, 2011 bringing down my investment from Rs. 2,50,000/- to Rs. 2,13,250/-.
This unilateral alteration regarding a material fact to the contract without informing me personally is in gross violation of basic tenets of Contract Law.
In this regard, the contention of UTI regarding sending me a letter by ordinary mail (which was not received by me) and giving an advertisement in newspaper is not tenable because any material alteration of a contract requires the consent of both the parties. The fact of giving me a notice by ordinary mail/ advertisement in newspaper containing a clause that in the absence of no objection shall be tantamount to affirmative action is in gross violation of basic tenets of Contract Law.
The merger in the new fund later on resulted in a further loss of Rs. 42,000/-. This unilateral action of UTI has resulted in a total loss of Rs.79,000/-.
This could have been avoided to a great extent if the UTI in absence of my consent for the alteration should have returned my money at NAV prevailing at that time.
Thus my submission to you is that UTI is guilty of breach of contract, breach of faith and trust and thus should be made liable to compensate me for the loss of Rs.79,000/- (my post retirement money) with 10% interest by way of penalty for overlooking and neglecting my interest.
I hope that you will take prompt action in this regard.

maturity is 30 Oct 2012. This Maturity date is over. The unit certificate No is R931007001409.

But now UTI has closed this plan and we want our mature amount as on date. But after contacting several times by mail or by phone UTI has not
given any favorableresponse or actual information regarding my amount.
