Hi,

I have a icici direct.com account which was opened in dec 2003.

I had been trading in futures & options quite often. Around 2 - 3
months back i had received a mail to give my pan number & fax a copy
of the pan letter to their prabhadevi office.

I updated the recored & faxed copy of the letter to their prabhadevi
office from chennai since i am working in chennai.

To my surprise on 26.10.2005 when i went to trade in futures &
options the option was disabled & i was not informed about it. When i
contacted their phone banking office one person by the name rajinder
told me that since i have opened account before dec 2002 i had to
sign an agreement for trading in futures & option but when i told him
that i had opened account on dec 2003 he put me on hold & then told
me that since i have not given pan number I CANNOT TRADE IN FUTURE &
OPTIONS.

I want to know whether icici has the right to disable future &
options for my id as i have already updated my pan number & faxed
then. Their backoffice people at prabhadevi office had not updated
the same for which i am facing the problem.

Can i complain to RBI regarding the same & will ICICI compensate me
for the loss i had suffered since i am not able to trade in future &
options from 26.10.2005
