    Default Airtel Internet Broadband Billing complaint

    Hi My name is Maloji Naik, I started using the Airtel connection around 5 months back. Initially I took the 650 plan and which was limited in nature soon after the 5GB barrier is reached i called Airtel and asked for the cancellation of the connection, I clearly told them the reason that I would not be able to afford the charges.This Is within 15 days of me taking the Airtel connection.

    Now when I called Airtel Customer care(CC), They tried to convince me for not cancelling the connection, but as the money was my constraint I told them clearly that i don't need the connection any more. But the lady on the other end put me through some recovery department.

    Recovery department guys promised me plan of 540 plan with 20% discount each month, but they told that this plan will get activated after a billing cycle however I can use the internet connection till then with the present plan and the bill for the present month will be considered only 540 with 20% discount.So I was happy and I started using the connection.

    Now After the end of the billing cycle they sent me the bill of RS.2000, I immediately called and lunched complaint , Airtel team also agreed that it was the mistake from there side, and they promised me that they will rectify it soon and call me, and i never got the call from them and there was no reduction of the amount of the bill.I called them every now and then but they used to tell me that i dont have to pay anything till my issue is resolved.

    Like this continued till 4 months and one day I got the message stating that my case has been closed without any change in the billing. and also now after the 5 months they have charged me 5500 and each time they are increasing the bill with the late payment fees. Every time the billing department call me I state them the same old propblem and they promise me that they would rectify it and call me, but they never do. Again after some days some other people call me asking me to pay the bill, and again I have to repeat the entire story, some times they have even misbehaved with me.

    Please help me with this issue. I would suggest everybody not to take Airtel connection The best service available is Reliance and BSNL....Now I have discontinued the service, but still I get the calls from them to fill the bill, they even agree the mistake made by them but they dont do anything with that regard..I am really helpless in this regard and i don't know how to fight back legally...Please help me...Thanks in advance...
