    Default Feeling duped & cheated By Idea Cellular! Don't buy Idea 3 G!!!

    I recently purchased (20 days back only) Idea 3G data pendrive from Idea franchise at Karnal, Haryana ( Idea sim no. 9812438233 ). I couldn’t use the services as I kept getting authentication failure specially after 8 PM conveniently as there was no customer service after 8 PM!!! This became a norm over the next week as on alternate days the service would not be available. This was explained by Idea franchise as “technical issue”!!! Just after 10 days usage, it completely stopped working and I was horrified to find out that 4 GB plan which I was on has been consumed!!! I have various broadbands, numerous connections from docomo, reliance, airtel for our office and homes and I have never seen usages even crossing 2GB on any of them!!! I further checked and saw that just browsing net and checking mails consumed 1 GB in 2 days. I was forced to pay additional 500 rupees just to activate the services again which again stopped after 4 days only!!!!!! This is simply pathetic & a fraud with public!!!

    When I went to return the sim & data modem, the franchise tells me that I can’t return it!!! Point blank refusal to refund the money, told me once customer buys a data card, he owns it as money is send to Company! This kind of fraud needs to be highlighted in media. I am feeling duped & cheated by Idea company. Where Reliance is giving 10 GB in Rs. 700/- per month, Idea is giving 4 GB??? I specially called up your service manager in Ambala Mr. Ravi Puri for a solution. First he never bothers to pick up his mobile and when he does, all he could say is talk to franchise. After promising to call me back with some solution in half an hour, he never bothered calling back at all!!!! Repeated calls went unanswered. Hats off to your Customer Service!!!

    I have never seen a worst case of service from any provider. At this point apart from taking legal recourse, I don’t think I am left with any option as I don’t fore see any response from the Company's end.

    Default Everyone beware of Idea 3G services, Don't buy post paid, they will cheat you dry!!!

    Hi,

    My name is Robin Uppal from Haryana. I had recently purchased Idea datacard with 3G services enabled for Internet post paid. Idea is cheating the public as whatever plan you opt for, your consumption is going to be so high and you will face discontinuation of services. My earlier complaint regarding the same got the response to get in touch with nearest Idea Shop which led to nothing. I have switched to pre paid services from Tata and the difference is so much that when I was on Idea 3G my 4GB got consumed in under 10 days, whereas now I am using Docomo 3G my total monthly consumption is not even 2GB!!! Idea is cheating the public by highly overcharging in plans. BEWARE OF IDEA 3G!!! I am fighting now with Idea to roll back the high consumption they have charged and clear full & final dues with me. Looks like an uphill task, please spread the message on all social sites please to aware the public!!!

    Default Idea cheating customers in billing/data allocations

    I purchased Idea 3G Netsetter card. I recharged with Rs.450/- for 1200MB of data/monthly plan on 01.08.11 and it has validity upto 31.08.2011. After I using 2 days my data balace is 1189 MB. On third day I used 10.642 MB. I got a message from Idea saying that I used 10.642 MB and my balance is 89MB validity date is 16.08.2011. I do not know why I got this message. On 05.08.11, I used 4.238MB. I got a message saying that I used 4.238MB and My data balace is 195.762MB validity date is 03.09.11. I talked to customer care. But there is no proper response from them. They asked me to go to Idea showroom. I went to Idea showroom to solve my problem. There they told me that they do not have details and asked me to contact customer care only or go to Idea office. As I was busy with my works, I did not goto Idea Office and used 195.762 data upto 25.08.11. I made complaint thr 198 on 27.08.11. They said that they would resolve the complaint next day. But on 28.08.11 they sent me message saying they would resolve my problem upto 3.09.11. But there is no response from them. When I contact customer care they did not give proper response and some pretexts. When I talked seriously they told me that "your validity period expired. so we can't do anything. You have to recharge again for using internet. They wasted my time and money. I will write again with more details and their cheating & fraud. I suggest that "Never purchase Idea data cards.They provide worst service" Do waste your money,time. Checkup your data usage daily otherwise they will cheat you.

    I have been charged wrongly for Rs. 1067 (number: 8347400119), for a single day usage of netsetter plan.

    I already have a call number 9924077040 whose billing date is 21st of every month, the agent (Mr. Vijay Parmar from Vadodara) who filled my form did mention that I will receive separate bill for netsetter. If the things were discussed with me properly i would have ordered the netsetter after 21st.

    It is not at all expectable that i pay Rs.1067 for a single day.

    And also the agent has taken the documents of one senior personal of the company for which i work, but he is not even replying to their phone also. I do have a strong feeling that he would be using those documents for some illegal activities.

    I also called the customer service but they are also not providing proper response, one of the CS representatives told me to mail the complaint which i did but still no response.

    I have also posted the image of my invoice for one day.
